We got one yesterday that came beautifully wrapped in some sort of chic white tissue paper thang, like it was from some Parisian antique place. He had used invisible tape and everything, it was like opening something really nice- cept when the packet is almost as exiting as whats inside (still with me lol).

It even had some handwritten french words on, probably saying 'thanks for your purchase', but in my mind yesterday it actually said 'i love you and your swollen belly/feet/face/arse- come and live with me in my shabby chic apartment that smells of good coffee and leave that shit of a husband'.

I was well pissed off when it just turned out to be yet another obscure spoken word LP.

I got one from Germany once with 2 really ace sweets inside. I only paid about 1 euro for the record, but it was also sent in a new looking thick plastic sleeve

Gotta say it's a bloody nice touch, spreading a little bit of joy around the world

LOL I got two sweets once with a tune, I didn't eat them though as they looked dead manky, sorta like someone had maybe had a lick of them already and then re-sealed them back up lol

I usually just get flyers for stuff that is in their own country - OK, I'm just gonna fly out to see you play at your night, be worth the visit for that alone

I once bought a present for mothers day from a shop in Switzerland and the lady spent about half an hour wrapping it all in the best quality wrappers and ribbons

My mum was so chuffed with it all she didn't want to open it and even kept the wrapper. It meant loads to me to see her face when I gave it to her

A bit of effort can go a long way

I love it when records come wrapped in American newspaper (i am sure other countries would be ace but i can only read Eng). I love reading the classified bit, or the homes for sale.
