| Why do Americans insist... ...on clinging to their 'constitutionally protected rights' for gun ownership ? Guns don't kill people they say - people kill people.... I'm sure the guns help.. ![]()

| Lunatics kill people, guns just make it that little bit easier! I noticed that Canadians have more guns per head of population than Americans do and every adult Swiss male (or is it every household ) has to keep a gun, yet there doesn't seem to be as many crazed lunatics from either of those 2 countries

| There was a section on the Reno news channel about the spate of youth stabbings in london over the last few months. They managed to dig out about 6 murders and 8 serious stabbings in an 8 week time frame ![]()

| Yeah its wrong as fuck, i was watching it on telly this morning, 32 ppl wiped out just like that.for no reason. its so awful for the ppl involved and thier families. I suppose as a parent you would expect your kids to be safe at school? 32 killed in America's worst campus shooting | NEWS.com.au Sayin that tho, i went 2 my old school the other day to get some tickets, it wer like fort knox, had to have secret code n evrything just to get to reception-lol. I read about a stab proof hoodie the other day, ppl saying it may become part of the school uniform n how unsafe kids are feeling whilst out ont streets like: ITV News - Slash-proof hoodies go on sale guns n knifes are stupid, there is no need for the likes of me n thee to be having em. sam says hed love to live in america, i wouldnt at all...spesh for the above...i can see it now, some mad gun wielding nut case decides to come into my work for the random reason hes having a bad hair day so thought he would blow my arm off...ffs all this happening whilst sam is at home in his 'yard' smoking a spliff. nice one. lol ![]()

| Love the quote in Untouchables... summat along the lines of He pulls a knife on you, you pull a gun on him. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue... I agree criminals would still carry weapons if they were illegal... why does that make it OK to arm the normal law-abiding population to 'defend themselves' ?

| Im sorry but the yanks are pretty thick...I was in the states on my honeymoon and the wife and I were out havin a few beers, we rolled into this bar about midnight after a fair few previously and ordered a couple of drinks. The barmaid insisted on Id, now I was 30 and my wife a few years older...we could not get a beer. What kind of fucked up country lets you shoot guns at 16 and not allow you a beer till you are 21, in some states you can't even get a drink....so sorry I think its terrible on a human side, but those yanks deserve everything they get IMO |

| I think its a disgrace that you can buy a gun in a wall mart over there. If guns make it about 548654895895689565859569 times easier to kill/harm people, logic says, take them away, at least you'd be disabling the tools of the psychopaths, anything that facilitates murder, and thats purpose is soley to kill or injure, surely shouldn't be so readily available. Would it or would it not have been ALOT harder to have done the same damage without a gun?!! If he'd have only had a knife for instance...don't think he'd have managed to stab one person to death without being restrained before taking more lives, never mind 32!

| While whats happened is the work of a madman its not necessarily "gun culture" which is to blame. Granted laws in the US make it easy to own or obtain guns - which is where the law needs to be looked at - Columbine was a clearer example of this, but just as in Dunblaine or Hungerford over here - if someone is going to carryout an act like this due to their mental state theres not much anyone can do? One thing I do agree with in US law is the right to defend yourself in your own home - there would never be a Tony Martin style case there. If someone makes a conscious decision to cross the line and come into your home then they should be prepared to face the consequences - whether thats a smack in the mouth or a shot through the knee..... ![]()
