Yep got a drawer full of nostagic junk at home. my dad chucked loads of it out a while back thinking it was meaningless junk ...I was devastated lol. Its got everything in it from photo albums, my old signed school shirt, a pepsi bottle full of sand from the beach in Mauritius...

the best thing...a jar full of letters that we used to pass round in class at school, they're SO funny, all about who we fancy, how boring the lesson is, that we saw joe bloggs 'puffin it' (smoking) in the village last week, the end of one reads 'p.s., are we still skiving last lesson' (lol) there are loads from when a friend and I ran away from home saying 'DON'T DIE!!!' etc... got all my old school planners, every page filled from top to bottom with graffitti & everyones signatures & blurbs, a little diary that i've had since i was about 13 that i only write in when i'm either really happy or really sad, and i still write in it now like once a year...so mad reading it & remembering those emotions...

Nostalgic junk is great, no part of life should really be forgotton imo

And yeah I hoard everything else too, 'in case' I need it.

Thats exactly the sort of stuff I keep. Photos, train tickets, labels, notes, etc etc. Those things can jogg your memory so well its untrue! I like to look back at how people and situations have changed, its mad to see how different you were, or sometimes how certain things have never left you! I have all my old certificates...I will never ever get rid of them, whether its my sports day awards or academic ones. I have shit loads of really cheesy dancing tropheys too, you know, the proper shit ones with gold figures on them, but Im sooooo keeping them.

I tend to hoard clothes as well. If I even slightly like it, or can incorporate it into 'a look' then its mine.

Funnily enough I took a massive bag of books to the charity shop this morning before work....and books are usually something I keep as long as possible.

SaySay....don't get me started on bus prices....I sound like an old lady.

When I was 11, it was 36p from Standish to Wigan.....try 65p and £2.70 for an adult. Fooking rip off!!!!!!!!!!! I wish i'd kept the proof now lol Could go round showing everyone hoping they were bothered.

I'm pretty good at being able to let go of things. Clothes etc I sort out quite often gettin rid of them to make room so I can buy more! lol!

Although I have about 3 memory boxes in my wardrobe, one with my plaster cast from when i broke my arm like 12 years ago! lol

I do not see that stuff as junk though!

Exactly the same as me lol, bar the bus tickets. Yeah ive got all my old certificates and all those shitty dancing medals, and newspaper cuttings of stuff ive been involved in/people i know were involved in. LOVE going through all the old stuff in my wardrobe at home and seeing what i can revamp lol.

And yeah it is amazing how well that stuff jogs your memory. I avoid opening that drawer when im home if possible because once I start looking at one thing i'm there all bloody week reminiscing

And yeah its so good seeing how you've changed, I personally never notice myself changing, but when I look at the things I used to put in that diary and remember how I used to be its astonishing...all positive changes thankfully...let go of alot of anger etc

haha, yeah that is some collection!

I'm terrible at keeping hold of anything, I lose important stuff straight away so I've no chance of keeping crap. I even thru away a £35 winning betting slip the other day at work, then remembered it was a winner about 3 hours later an had to retrace my steps, actually found the fooker n'all floating in a puddle, dried it out an cashed it.
