do you give a rats arse what people think of you, or are you always spending time being somebody your not just to make people like you???

i used to be so paranoid years ago about what other people thought of me and i was alwaya holding back on doing things because i didnt want people to get the wrong impression of me and what im all about,

but over the past 2 years or so i realy dont give a shite, ive seen so many people ove the years be so false and put on a big front just to part of the inn crowd......even tho they say they are unique etc...

when meeting new people do you hold back and try ur hardest to impress them or do you just be yourself and not give a toss and just let urself go???

life is for living, who cares what other people think of you if they dont like you for who you are then they are not worth the steam off the preverbiable (sp?) pish

some mint advice i got off some one many mash ups ago from the legend that is hikkyb (gaz)...i remembered having a convo and we were talking about how ppl see/view you and what ppl expect of you etc, an he said somat like...you gotta be yourself, its so much easier to be yourself than trying to be what ppl want you to be...thats somat whats stayed with me for ages cos its true...
ppl choose to be your friend because of the qualities you have, its up to the friendship on how you veiw their negative bits, i have a friend who ppl think can be a reet twat, and he can be, but hes not been cuntish with me, so im not gonna fall out with him, just try and make him see the error of his ways...i see friends as part of a family...good and bad, so i feel they have a right to think/judge of me, but also have the understanding that thats who i am...meaning if i am being a bit wreckless n doin too many-then they shouldnt think bad of me-its just me having a good time

i do care to a certain extent on what ppl think of me (friends wise), prob not as much as i should, but nics ur right its your life, you can do what you want, i pretty much think that misen, aslong as im not hurting anyone or offending anyone along the way i will continue to

i think in the short time i have been on here that it is obvious i will say what i think and will debate with anyone who i feel is posting incorrect information or attitudes i do not agree with

i am pretty intolerant of intolerant people

pedantic and pernickety but with a balanced view on the world, is how i would like to think people see me on here, but i do not care either way if they do or not

i am one of those guys who will say what needs to be said in any situation without fear of re-crimination or consequences and it has served me well in my company (just got me into trouble in the forces )

good shout betty with the remark about that friend of yours, i have had the same situation and felt the same as you, the guy did eventually act like a twat to me and a close friend one day, this was his last chance and he is no longer a friend and i will no longer back him up when other say he is a twat

It's true though... how can you ever be anything but yourself... you can compromise & adapt to fit certain situations but ultimately you will always react how you were always going to react (perhaps with a little more thought process before hand).

Same here Tucker Completley diff person at work...i like it tho, its like i go home take of the suit and Im me again...work dont need to know who I am...There for a reason, to make them money. Simple as, they think Im a professional girl, who likes to read books...lmao and go to the gym-yeah right...they think Im normal LOL

people who pretened to be someone there not will eventually slip back into there old ways etc eventually so why bother !

think alot is to do with age aswell , bothering what people thought , doing what others did . something most people grow out off and if they dont they should ! why spend precious time worrying what others think , fuckkkk ittttt lol so no pissy nics i dont care

Yeah I do care a bit, but ONLY if I think someones got the wrong impression for some reason or their spouting things about.

Its funny/sad when people dislike/slate others because of their own self esteem issues.

Don't really have any enemies as such anymore, I can remember really hating certain people & vice versa, I can't even imagine carrying that much anger round anymore, what unnecessary stress. There aren't many people I feel dislike for anymore, people are what they are, and they all just kind of fall into different levels of like or indifference.

Acceptance....forgiveness...empathy...is so much easier.

People who try to be someone they are not, and lie about stuff, always get found out....always. We have a girl here at work who does this, and we catch her out every week, hence she isn't believed all that much nowadays.
