I never have or will because very few people outside immidiate family really know you.

THEY THINK THEY DO

because perhaps of how you have acted in the company of some (note some) or somthing you have written or said on a forum or how you are when on that forum ect.

A lot of it comes from thier perceptions of you and most of the time its what they have been told by someone else who's got a hidden agenda. Opinions vary but only if those with negatives ones have been in your company at least long enough to make up thier own mind.

Failing that they will assume more times than not, "Oh he means this, or she is like this" when actually you dont are are not its, THEM who are too far up thier own arse and mark you down as that because then they feel more comfatable.

One thing for sure though, there will always be someone out there with an opinion on you.

Thing is the only person that truely knows u is u, understand where ur comin from with the family stuff as they've known u all ur life but at the end of the day u can hide anythin from anyone if that's the what u choose to do but u can't hide from urself no matter how hard u try or what u hide behind & if u can live with the person u are then fair enough

i used to be really bothered by what people thought when i was young, think it was the 'it crowd' syndrome at school but once i went to college couldn't give a stuff. as long as my true friends and family accept me for who i am, (and i them) warts and all, then all's cool with me. i have met a variety of different people in my life so far, some will like me, some wont, i don't have to be liked or friends with every person i meet! There are qualities of someones persona that will proper grate me, so i choose to have limited contact/none whatsoever with them and vice versa.

what does annoy me though is when you thought you had a friend and they listen to other peoples persception of you and then walk away, so far when this has happened to me the person who's stirring hasn't got a fekking clue what or who i'm about, so make up your own mind about whether you like this person or not just because you choose them as a friend, doesn't mean your whole circle of friends has to like them too!

me and my close friends have always promised that if one of us acts a bit weird and gets on our tits, then we will approach them and discuss it openly instead of slagging each other of behind backs (which is my pet hate), that way you can learn which of your behaviours are really ugly and alter them to let the rest of your personality shine .

i think people do give a shit when it comes to family and friends, because to me that's an important part, valuing each others opinions but when it's a stranger or work collegue, they feature so little in our lives why should we let their opinions of us make an impact??
