| Versus Cancer gig I had typed a really long post, but it got lost forever when I was automatically logged out Anyway, was an amazing night of talent and the entire arena was singing and bopping along, it's the type of show that you'll never see anywhere else because it was all for charity Johny Vegas and the other big named comedians kept us laughing between sets too Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown and The Charlatans were all brilliant The highlight of my night was Weller performing Town Called Mallace and having the entire crowd singing along Just wish he'd had a long set, but would have been well worth going just for him or any of the big names, but to have these and more performing on the same night made it all seem magical, it felt like being at a great festival having all the audience participating and singing along Some other good acts got the show rolling along and nice to see some big names mixing it up for one-off routines and performing different versions of classic tracks especially The Smiths tracks, seeing as Andy Rourke was the mastermind for the conception It only really got going properly with Echo And The Bunnymen though who set the scene for the heavyweights to come but the audience had already started to build up pretty fast at that point and they were all up for it If you missed it, you missed out! Still there's always next years show ![]()
