Well said. Live every day as if its your last, because one day you'll be right...

and if you have people you care about / love and want to know they know that ...bloody well do so before you get the chance taken away! Dont dilly-dally!

My only real close call was my car crash in 2004 . Like as has been portrayed in earlier posts, somtimes you can be minding your own business and something will happen through no fault of your own. I was stationary at the bottom of a hill in my little peugeout 106, waiting to turn right. This was a main A road, y'know 60-70mph traffic whizzing along it. Some vehicles came bollocking over the hill too fast and hit me, first a Ford pickup truck, immediately followed by a Volvo Estate big old hefty things compared to mine! ultimately also pushing me across all the incoming tracffic and into a ditch on the opposite side of the road. Car was obviously a write-off, and well over a month off work for me, but considering the circumstances and the mangled wreck of my car I got off really lightly, not sure how certainly aren't complaing though, the old cliche....someone must've been looking after me that day

Oh my god, tis mad this........

Just on Friday I asked my sister to come and pick me up in her fiat uno (bless that beast of a car) and we were only about a minute into the journey when she went to turn right afer some traffic lights and crashed with another car (a mini bus taxi to be precise). She breaked but it was wet and slippery and the car dint stop in enough time.

Luckily as she wasn't goin fast we were all okay but the car is totally fooked..... just off a little dink. I dread to think what it could've been like if we'd have been goin quicker!

She's pretty gutted about it tho coz she only had 3rd party, fire and theft as it was a little old banger so she now has to pay for a new'un and she's skint!

I've never been in a proper crash before and it's mad you came to mention it!

Had a close call the other week. Sometimes when I'm driving along with my tunes blaring I go into what I call 'the zone', before I knew it the car in front was very close and I slammed my brakes on hard (Luckily there was no car close behind me, as it was rush hour!
I really do need to pay more attention on the road!

When I was learning to drive my driving instructor drummed it into me that I should always assume that all other road users were mentally deficient killers who were out to get me. Aparrantly its a good way to be safe on the roads and not let other drivers wind you up or get the better of you.
