Not bad, bit chavvy at the weekends. There's a bar further up called Anam, and the Salmon and Compass which are both quite good.

Have you been in the Embassy rooms (on Essex Road) recently? Used to be a laugh years ago.

Nope. tend not to go Essex Rd tbh... no idea why mind...

Amy, if you're staying in Notting Hill & feel like "going posh" there's a lovely restaraunt out that way. The Notting Hill Brasserie. Mainly fish on the menu, but some of the nicest food I've ever had. £20 for 3 courses at lunchtime, more at night but bigger menu.
If you like good food I can't recommend it highly enough.

Oh, and they serve cocktails

i spent a few years in notting hill, very swish place nothing cheap, lotta dives lotta posers lotta skunk.

if i was to go on a crawl on saturday i would from nott. hill head down portabella rd, head down through the market and spend a few hours in MARKET BAR tbh id prob stay there all day

cool funky music gr8 beer and gothic look, peeps who want to be noticed hang there.

after i would head up the road to bayswater and do the bars, hereford rd slug & lettuce, walk up hereford road turn left and the pub they used for the stronbow adverts is there, prince bonaparte, very cool

from there turn right and head to mick jaggers pub, cant remeber the name but its where all the tv stars hang out.

you'll need about £200 for the day (inc. food prince bonaparte)

have fun an its a shame you wont be there for nott. hill carnaval, a must attend if your around on bank holiday august

have fun... i did

regards

pablo
