I went last year for a long weekend with the missus

Did all the sights, The Colosseum, The Spanish Steps, The Trevi Fountain, Remix Records...

They were choosing the new pope when we went so the Vatican was open, but the Sistene Chapel wasnt, which is a shame.

We stayed on Via Veneto at the Hotel Majestic, 5 star gaff, but we got a top room for a third of the price as they had an offer on. Booked it via the internet Its about 10mins walk from the Trevi fountain and all the shops, bars and restaurants. The main place to go is the Via Del Corso for shopping, and as you get nearer the Spanish steps there are loads of back streets with small restaurants and bars

Have a good time if you go, I Loved it and hope to go back soon

I'm the biggest Atheist gonig but you can't not be impressed by the Vatican

I love the place (Italy), going in Sep for 4 days, I'd go to Italy every year if could... been 3 times in lst 6 years

I'd also get to Firenze, Lake Garda / Como, Venise, Milans ok

Napoli not a nice city but you have acess to Pompei, Versuvious, Capri, Sorento, Amalfi, Revello etc, you can get ferries up and down the coast for €10, its great I spent a week there last year
