does impersonation of Emlyn Hughes on A Question of Sport...
oh oh oh i know that horse!

I've got a funny feeling the title of the dance version bore absolutely no relation to the title of the Mansun track.
Both versions was killer tho IMHO

I've got a file somewhere on the home pc which says it's the dance version of this tune, although it bears no resemblance whatsoever to the original iirc.

Will check tonight or whenever I'm next there.

Just how good is:
Dy-Na-Mi-Tee-The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain

on that. Bizzare, to say the least.

flunk - true faith (better than blue monday)

motorhead- louie louie

snow patrol - crazy in love

bobby womack - california dreaming (not better but as good)

and the best cover I think I've ever heard

fiona apple:- across the universe (beatles)

covers stink, simple as ...... a couple of years ago will young did jim morrison and ruined a classic forever.... take twat did the same with relight my fire they should be banned......
i have only ever heard good songs ruined, can anyone tell me a shite track made into a masterpiece by someone covering it..... i don't think so

covers imo are 99.9% SHITE...... they are sung generally by people who have ran out of ideas and are a bit short in there pockets...... collaborations are the same you may as well watch feckin pop idol week in and week out.... for me listening to someone belt out amazing lyrics and knowing that the artist/band have written them themselves is most of the appeal.

i have listened to jo wiley a few times in the live lounge and heard some of the most pretentious garbage by bands trying to make themselves look clever, an example embrace doing eminem..... for fucks sake sort it out your own records are dull depressing enough without having to listen to you drone out a feckin rap record.

BAN COVERS

Not a fan of remixes either. FPI Project destroying Back to My roots (Oddessey) was just one shocker.

Jimmy Summerville slaughtering I feel Love is another

Although whoever decided to replace City's "Boys in Blue" with a version that sounds like its been done by Mcfly then blasted out the tannoy at full time needs a severe kicking

What a fucking TUNE!
They look like a trio of Euro Benders in the photo, but that cover, as in the record not the sleeve is AWESOME!

If you like that you must try and track down a copy (I've only ever seen two in my life since 1989) of Submission by Nixon.
It is a belter.
It covers Submission by the Sex Pistols and is IMHO an ace tune.

I'll concede there to Richie Havens, but just don't like FPI Project. Maybe I've been over exposed over the years? (otherwise known as the Young MC effect)
