Working For A Living

Isnt it shiit lol!

Im doing a work trial at the mo (my choice, they just wanted to give me the job!) and Im just sat here thinking, how shit is it working for other people

Dont get me wrong, there seems to be a lot of pros to this job (well Im on here arent I ) and its good money for 4 days a week too, plus I can earn commision without having to do any sales but Im still lining someone elses pockets

I dont know if Im feeling more like this cos of the glorious weather or whether (wow too different types of weather/whether in a sentence lol ) Im just sick of not reaping my own rewards Maybe I'll be more inspired to work on my course more often now

Does anyone else feel like this?

I know what you mean... but I'm the sort of person who'd do fuck all if I had to motivate myself to work, so working for someone else is kindof best for me...

Here here ... know what you mean ... my motivation is low in this hot weather working for somebody else ... I'd be even worse if I worked for myself ... I'd just stay at home in bed with the fan cooling me down (not in bed with me ... lol).

Plus, I'd have to think of what to do as a business if I was to work for myself ... then I'd have to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yeah I struggle with the motivation myself Ive been doing a 'work from home, no f*ckin teachers to shout at you when you dont do the work' kinda course for the last year and Im really behind but I have had LOADS of stuff happening to me

I just wish I didnt have to work so I could finish it quicker and start earning money for something I really want to do

Working for yourself has to be the best(not that i have my own business), No superviser's, No daily totals and work your own hours, The only downside would be no guarenteed wage at the end of the week!!!!

i know wot u mean mate but its swings and roundabouts to be honest

my dad was self employed from 17 to 56 when he retired last year and it does have its benefits BUT...he never had holiday hes ALWAYS working used to drive my mum up the wall problem is you never leave ur job, you dont walk out the office etc and think right home time relax enjoy myself, I certainly couldnt deal with the stress it put my dad under it made him ill towards the latter years and work just aint worth being ill over

I don't mind working for other people most of the time, at least i can walk out of here at the end of the day and not have to give it a second thought until the next morning, if i'm ill or have holidays i still get paid, i don't have to worry about much really. I don't work to line someone elses pocket though (i reckon that'd piss me off) cos i work for the NHS my work helps people and isn't for any kind of corporate monetary gain so i don't really have any objections to it at all.

Being self employed has its upside but i couldn't cope with the uncertainty and stress. Find a job you enjoy Sarah and you might be happier, you always seem to go for the same kind of thing, hate it and leave after 6 months, why don't you try looking for something you are more likely to enjoy

seeusly... my dream is to win big on the lottery, so i don't have to work at all, for myself, or for anyone else. I've heard the arguments about "you'd get bored" etc etc... no way. not me. I've got an enquiring mind. There are too many places to go, skills to learn, books to read. No way I'd get bored. I'd love it.

Im bored stupid in my job.....its the same crud over and over and over and over...........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Thing is it pays well

I work for the RAC in a call centre so you can image how mental its been lately. I get hardly a breath inbetween calls...no sooner have they put the phone down and i get yet another muppet in my headphones moaning about putting the wrong fuel in the car.........
Ill be honest and say I truley and utterly detest my job and my shifts vary every other day as its too difficult for the them to rota me into working 3 days in a row starting and finishing at the same times also i have had a practically non existant social life since starting there - there is not a day goes by that I dont get up and think I dont want to go in.
I even got shit for having 2 hours off to go to a hospital appointment - thing is i have not been well lately and had recently had to have a biopsy, they soon changed how they were with me when i explained that so u can imagine that it didnt make things any easier with liking my job any more.

I only stay in it at the moment for the money - but i am looking for something else and hopefully ill find something really soon as ill prob have a nervous breakdown if i dont.

In comparison I really and utterly loved my last job. I only left for 2 reasons: my boss used to make me cry..........and the money was crap (I worked for Manchester United and being there was like my dream job)

Init..anyone that carries on with their shitty job after winning the lottery should have to give it back....

I'd permanantly travel all over the world being an international jetsetting layabout.

If I had the money i'd take off travelling and living life to the max, but I don't so it's the daily grind for me.

It isn't too bad though as I only see my boss every few weeks and have more *ahem* flexible hours than most which helps keep me sane
