Feeling like a small fish.

Do you ever feel like this? I was just driving along the motorway, all those cars with people in all around me, everyone had somewhere to be and shit. Perhaps it was the beautiful music that made me suddenly aware of life, perhaps it was that i am in a great mood today-either way its weird when you have one of them wake up call moments.

Its like when you drive over a town or village when its dark, all the house lights are on and i always think, wow- homes full of families and to them, their shit is more important then mine, infact i don't even count or exist. Its the same as in the supermarket, so many people just going about thier day, you don't even notice them, rushing past you, planning tea's and wondering what to make for the roast this week.

I feel today like life is short, like i am just a small fish, a dot in a very busy world. Anyone know what the hell i am on about?

Lol I know exactly what you are on about, I feel like this on a regular basis!! I remember my first realisation that the world doesnt revolve around me lol

I was 14 I think going to visit my pen pal (yeah she was from Smash Hits ) in Darlington and I was on a coach driving in some city up north and I noticed this girl walking down the street rushing around and I watched her for as long as I could, then couldnt stop thinking about her afterwards wondering where she was going and what she was doing and I thought she doesnt even know I exist

I sometimes feel like we're in a big petri dish and another species is watching us to see what we're doing, like we watch ants carrying food lol!

We are insignificant to most people which is kinda scary, but we're important eenough to be thought about to all that know us

i certainly do amelie and its a nice and a scary feeling , sometimes you just happen to be aware of the people around you more when it happens its things like i will look at some one for example sum geezer on the train reading his paper and try and work out what sort of life he has and think things like i prob will never see this person again , im prob not making much sense , lol, but honest im not a rambling drunk ( just yet )

Sometimes I am truly humbled by the world around me but most of the time I swagger round like the world is my litter tray & I am the tom cat with the biggest set of swinging balls in town

It's not that we are insignificant or that we don't make a difference - we are all connected imo

I do feel truly truly humbled by nature & the world tho... like during mahoosive thunderstorms or watching the sea at it's most savage crashing against rocks & cliffs in Cornwall or when you climb a fookin ace peak & the sky is crystal blue & the sun is lighting up the view all around... I love our planet It's just a shame we fuck it up so badly

PS I could people watch for DAYS - get proper into it & make up my own stories about what peoples lives are like & what they are doing

I do this all the time. If i could be invisible for a day this is the kind of person i would follow. I spend far to long on a daily basis listening in to normal convo's. There is a really filthy caff on Preston bus station that me and my freind used to go on a sunday, we would sit there, still numb from the weekend, that kind of exhausted sad feeling that its a whole 5 days till you next go out, and we would just share a hot vimto and liten to everyone. They would chat so much shit- how much to put on the gas/leccy, who they saw in the pub the night before, chains smoking rollups. Tragic as it sounds i still try to go at least once a year and just sit there- it makes me feel humble somehow.

Slightly off topic, but there is a girl in my home town who i would love to get to know. I spied her for the first time rushing around too. She has a really wonky walk and a great face full of expression- she always seems in a mad hurry (probs a scag hag knowing my luck) and looks sort of engrossed in something in her head. I see her every few months or so, i always want to say something becuase for some bizarre reason i like her. Jonno laughs if he is with me and we spot her, he says mean shit like 'hey there is that girl you want as a mate'. I can't describe it, she is not like me i don't think, yet she just makes me feel, i dunno happy and curious for some reason.

Me and pauly have gone after a mad night out to Baguley Tesco and just sat in the car park and people watched! Its the best place for people watching as its full of the weirdest people ever we had a competition to see who could make the best stories up about them ( I won ) there was this one old woman I got so right it was scary!!!

Ive often seen people that I like the look of and think Id like them for a mate! In my younger bit fucked up college days I used to go upto people I liked the look of and started talking to them so we could be mates lol now I just ask people I like the look of where they get there clothes from lol cos thats generally why Im attracted to them in the first place!!!

thats my local tesco!!! LMFAO! i was there last night (well im there most days tbh getting this n that) and there is always people, youngsters etc milling around late at night outside its cos its open 24hrs they think they can be cheeky and sneak in for booze, lol it is full of weirdos, in fact its not as bad as stretford arndale - there are some real freaks walkling around there, lol

lol not really but there is this girl who works in a clothes shop in town and i go in all the time just to look at her !! Its really weird coz she's not overly beautiful or a snappy dresser or owt, theres just somthing attracts me to her.She always speaks and i feel all shy and awkward lol its really daft coz i think she knows its her i go into see.

Yep... quite often infact Amelie....

When Im in crowded places I always look around at the folk that are around and quite often tend to wonder why! And I wonder if they are feeling ok themselves.... If I see a person who looks sad I want to give them a great big hug ask them if I can help, tell them that it will be ok etc... But in this day and age its a sad age and you cant do that incase they have any sort of tendancies... So you just have to wonder...

I find for me myself that I only really feel lost and a like a little fish when Im feeling sorry for myself when things aint going to good for me....

As it always seems to be that when your feeling grand and happy people want to be around you and your surrounded by lots of other little fish so your in your own gold fish bowl happy as larry...

But when your feeling shit people cannot cope with it and ditch out on you and leave you on your own in that bowl to get on with what ever you have too type thing...

This is when I feel it the most.... But then get cross at myself for feeling that way as really when I look around wtf reason do I have that's justified to be feeling that sorry for myself...

So as above I'll start to look around and notice the madness
