I can't think of anything more daft then the time of year you are born having any kind of relation to what your personality is like. I find it completly silly that people actaully read thier signs on a daily basis, like if i was to read mine today it would say something like:

'Mercury's journey through regal Leo is about thinking big and refusing to allow difficulties to put you off. Life is about weaving different energies together and once you open up to it, life will become easier. Destiny sees a man with a red door bringing news that you have been waiting for'.

What, just because i was born in January a man with a red door is going to prove ace? What about that kid on the council estate in Moss Side, or that gerzillionaire in New York, we all share the same birth date, so are they hankering after this randomer with a brightly coloured frigging aperture.

I think we need to make a distinction between the personality traits associated with a starsign, and the utter twonk written in newspaper horoscopes.

IM ever so HO the traits which get associated with starsigns often do apply. Maybe not all of them in all cases, but some do. The traits for a sign tend not to be contradictory either, so can give an indication of someone's nature. I'm not saying you can foretell what peeps are gonna be like before meeting them n sheet, but sometimes something about a person will stand out and it'll like as not be a trait associated with their starsign.

I know for a fact that all the written horoscopes in mags & stuff are rubbish, because I know peeps who "do" em. They often contradict themselves etc etc & are normally only done for a bit of a lark. I piddy the foo who lives their life by em...

Having said that tho, I have had one sunday red-top magazine horoscope which was scary in it's accuracy to my life once, in a dead specific & unambiguous way. I put that down to pure chance (just my luck, guess I'm never winning the lottery now).

I belive personailty is deterimed somewhat by nature (that is the genes involved in repo, certainly not the actaul temporal element of when those cheeky little haploids become a diploid) and somewhat by nurtue. What of those who are born prem? How on earth can the simple act of date of birth give you some indication to a personaily.

But Eliv8 is right, personality traits are different and if you know a few people with the same sign, then you do see similar traits

Who knows, maybe it's to do with which 9 months of the year you spend growing inside yer mam. I'm sure there are metabolic changes etc at different times of the year, prolly enhanced for pregnant mums... i dunno...

Well, i'm a LEO, a typical one. Leaders of the zodiac....kings of the jungle.....need I say more?!!! I won't rattle on about characteristics.

Leo is the most common star sign amongst famous people, actors/ singers etc. Madonna i'd say is the best example of a typical leo, outstandingly driven and successful....but a bit of a bitch due to being overly proud. Most of the 'Friends' cast are Leo's too.

I can tell you from experience, not from some compatability chart, I get along best with other fire signs, (Aries, Saggitarius, & other Leo's - my boyfriends are usually one of these) and also excellently well with Gemini's & Scorpio's. Most of my friends are one of these signs but there are a few red herrings who also go down a treatbag....the odd Libra, Aquarius, Cancer, Taurus & Pisces (kind of in that order)....although Pisces generally really do my head in....too introverted, quiet and paranoid....a bit annoying (lol sorry thats just SOME of the ones I know....many aren't typical...it depends on your entire birth chart....if you believe this sort of stuff).

I usually clash TERRIBLY with Virgo's, theres just something about them (GENERALLY of course) I can't do with, (obviously that doesn't apply to all - Sonz! - but you can probs see what I mean!!!!!) Both my parents are Virgo's and I cannot do with them as people, its like being related to people who, if they were not my parents, would probably be my worst enemies....or I just wouldn't ever bother with them...there is SO much conflict between us.

Virgo's (I emphasise GENERALLY) as people, I do not like.

I have very few Capricorn friends...only one I can think of....we're just a personality mismatch, opposite to myself, similar to Pisces are, (speaking GENERALLY again of course)...although I don't mind them...they don't bother me like Virgo's do....they just tend to 'blend in' a bit....which isn't an endearing quality to me. No offence to anyone!!!!

I'll just emphasise again that i'm not generalising - I know loads of people that are nothing like their star sign characteristics.
