I got in a car with a potentially very, very, very dangerous person once, one that I didn't know very well and was supposed to (and most sane people would) stay well away from, but for some weird reason I trusted them & knew they wouldn't hurt me and they didn't. If anyone had known about it, or knew about it now they'd think I was a headcase. But in the circumstances I wanted to give the person the benefit of the doubt, because i'd seen a side to them that deserved more of a chance than they were being given by others. It was surreal.
