Unhappy i have a girly question?

Any help on this is much appreciated.

I just got my hair cut yesterday. This always upsets me, because I try and have it as long as I possibly can without it looking unhealthy. So, I asked the hairdresser to keep as much of the length as possible, but I fancied a change, as my hair was pretty boring - just always had it straight and I wear it down everyday.

So, she gave me layers, which look really good.........and then she gave me one of those sweeping fringe efforts. Now, I've not had a fringe since I was 10, and its bugging me. The hairdresser dried it all curly for me yesterday and it looked really glam and nice, today - it looks wank, and the fringe is all curly and gay and doesnt look good. It also makes me look about 16 years old. Does anybody else have a fringe, how do you get it straight without bugging you too much? Will using straighteners on it every day fuck it up and split it? I am having issues with this fringe business.

Hi amy i know how you feel i had my hair cut on saturday and did the same thing got a bloody fringe put in , try not 2 use the straightners everyday it will hammer your hair , ive been clipping my fringe back , put a bit of serum on it and clip it back , wont annoy you as much and saves having to straighten it every day

Lottie x

I feel silly lol. Why oh why did I imagine that I could perfectly style it myself everyday!?! But thanks lottie.....I had a feeling that straighteners would be a no no.....might just have to clip it back and wait for it to grow.

I had a fringe cut into my hair this year and I have naturally wavy hair, so of course I couldnt get it to look like the hairdresser did!

But after months of practise (I do use straighteners on it quite a lot) but you can also blow dry it and pull it straight with your fingers. This does work, I promise

Im just waiting for mine to grow now, but the length it is at the mo looks kinda cool

mine is naturally wavy too.....like if i left it to dry normally then it would be frizzy wavy and curly..........

did it take long for it to grow?

I have a fringe. I've had it all manner of ways. Block/blunt/long/short/wispey...etc etc etc

The only time when I don't style it, is if I'm staying in...I shove it behind a head scarf. But otherwise (seen as my streighteners have blown up) I use my baddass hair dryer. That is the key to great hair.

Ever wandered how the hairdresser gets your hair so good??? It's the beefy hairdryer they use. It's faster and hotter than ur boots one!

So get one of those matey! And you fringe, you'll grow to love it. It is better to step out of your old style for a bit...nothing like a stale haircut to feel bored. (I wander how Jennifer Aniston feels!)

That fringe doesnt even look that bad!!! (Bad as in high maintenance I mean!)

Check this badboy...this was hard to style everyday. It looked silly pinned back coz of the length it was. And by my standards...it had to be "perfect" (actually that night - I was with Ow do, who is on left, In Sankeys...and the fucker stayed streight aaaaaaall night!) There is actually a little gap in it...that I don't like. Now I have a more natural looking fringe...a bit choppy etc...

You have lovely hair

Mine used to look like that, but years of miss use and loads of mad colours have made my hair go much thinner

Altho, I do like the fact that I have naturally wavy hair now ( hated it years ago) cos you can have the choice of having it straight or curly
