for me it's simple :
I love the roasted chicken smell that's true... Every sunday at my paretns, when I go there, we have chicken and every time it smells so good.. (first of all when the chicken was bought at the farm where it was raised... it's all natural and it is sooooo much more tasty than the average supermarket one.. well it's beyond comparison anyway)..

Ohterwise I love this :
the smell of
roast beef (in the hoven
combined to the smell of home-made potatoe chips
and first of all when it's home-grown red potatoes...
it reminds me of so many things.....

Well just remembering this, I think I'll go to my parents' this week-end....

The first aroma that took me was when I was in nursery (the royal mile in Edinburgh) all around the area was brewerys and there was a pungent smell of hops, yeast and barley all around i can still remember the smell to this day.
@ home cooking the smells I love are Roast Chicken, Curries, garlic and onion (again!), and home made fried chips

I like the smells of all the herbs that one cooks with ie.

lavender flowers that are added to stews and salads smell wonderful, cumin seeds are another herb that produces a wonderful smell when added to cooking.

and i can't forget the smell of brown basmati rice when boiled in a pan.. try it
