Jobs

Does anyone actually enjoy their job? And I mean the whole package....

The location
Your colleagues
Your boss
Your job
The hours you work

and anything else that you can think of

I for one cant think of any job that I have had where I enjoy at least 3 of the above

Right now the place that I work I.....

Hate the location - its Bolton need I say more
My colleagues are mostly annoying arseholes apart from one who keeps me sane!
My boss is a complete bellend, who is the most unprofessional person I have ever worked for
My job - well if it stayed the same for 2 days in a row I could tell you whether I liked it or not
The hrs I work are ok, but as I work in Bolton I have to endure the f*cking M60 every day which is down to one lane by Sale

Please can someone tell me that their job is enjoyable cos Im losing the will to live at the mo

I Do!!!

I work 10 minutes away from where i live (That's in rush hour )

My boss is fantastic and supportive, i can take my annual leave whever i want, i can have time to go and do anything which i need to do.

I enjoy what i do and quite often feel satisfied that the work i do impacts greatly on other people.

Although i work full time at the moment i have been asked how many hours i would like to work once someone else is appointed to take over the work i'm currently covering.

All being well when my pay finally get's sorted i should be on a fairly decent wage.

All in all, it's f@cking ace

I'm on a good screw - I work for a global company, the money's good, there are peaks & troughs with work & sometimes I'm expected to work stupid hours or at weekends but during less busy times I do take the mick with net abuse

I've worked in various different roles & have had foreign assignments with all expenses paid (& then some), I'm currently looking at jobs on offer @ the Manchester site & taking a year or so up in the land of the 0161 until Pauly, Sarah & Shabba get sick of the sight of me & then I'll move back to Pompey

i love my job...........but hate having to get out of bed in the morning to get there!!

realy nice place to work
the staff and clients are realy nice n easy to get on with
location is literaly round the corner from me
pay is ok considering i aint got an ounce of office/reception training or any form of computer training.............its all self taught or just common sense
if i wanted a job change there is lots of room to move around within the company i work for.
i get to meet people from all over the world as i work for a multi national company

Sarah, i think your problem is that you never stay anywhere long enough to like it!!! I hated my job for the first 12 months or so (as you well know ) but once the initial shitness passed and i settled in and found my feet everything has improved significantly. Now, i'm really settled and (you might find this hard to believe but it's honestly the truth) well respected

You really need to startgiving jobs more than 6 months befor you decide you hate it and leave!!! You've gotta admit there;s been a bit of a pattern emerging!!

I'm not working at the moment, one of the worst parts of working for the building trade.

But generally the pay isn't bad, i'm usually home for about 3:45pm and on site i'm my own boss. I travel around between jobs and sometimes it can work out great when i'm working around the corner or in some hip little spot, but other times it can be stressfull when jobs fall behind. The guys I work with are usually sound though, so all in all I can't complain too much

The location: I live in cornwall, but most of my work is in Plymouth, but also travel around Devon, which i enjoy

Your colleagues: Believe it or not im 22 Qualified Sparky and im in charge of two labours 1, is 34 & the other is 31, and i get to tell them what to do!

Your boss: Nice chap really, if you were pissed off with him you can actually tell him where to stuff it and he will listen, but does have his moments and is very un-organised.

Your job: Gettin a bit tedious now, but i no nothing else ill do will pay better for the mean time!

The hours you work: Supposed to do 40hours a wk, but it ends up bein about 37, and i am my own boss so if i need to leave early anytime i can!

So all in all my job is pretty good, but we all av our up and down dayz!!!!

Your colleagues Hmm , rather not say , improvement since last week though..
Your boss Nice enough person, inadequate as a boss IMO
Your job very very stressful but the job itself is ok, and will get better once a few issues are ironed out
The hours you work pretty good , usually end up doing a bit of overtime each day though which although isnt loads has a knock-on effect for the time you leave then hit the traffic. Biggest bonus of all ~ dont do weekends which can be quite rare these days

have to say though, its the most frustrating job ive ever had, and some days I do think Grrrrrr I hate it! but if I'm honest its other issues that wind me up rather than the job itself .
Either way im stuck there for a bit whether I like it or not so gotta keep smiling
