Not weird, my parents do not have a clue who I am......my Mother just presumes she knows, and doesnt listen, I hardly see my dad, although, we are very alike...

Same, although mine just isn't particularly interested. Its funny, I couldn't be more different from my parents, mind you, I say that & then get bits of them pointed out in my behaviour by siblings etc

I know what you mean. There's me, my mum, and my dad......but as time has gone on, Ive accepted my shortcomngs and attempted to eradicate them. Even though I don't always get on with my parents, and don't agree with how they opperate most of the time (my mother) they both have parts of them I love and respect...those are the parts I'll take with me...

I consider myself dead lucky to have lots of really good friends and family who care about me and look out for me. My mum and me are really close, although iv'e lived on my own for 6 yrs now, i still see her every day. I dont think she really knows me as in the things i get up to and stuff. Lol she thinks i always drive when i go out coz im not much of a drinker.. bless her. I wouldnt want it any other way tho

I dont really give much away about myself tbh, im more of listener than a talker (untill ya get to know me then i never shut up.) and i consider myself pretty tough, and so dont suffer fools gladly.

The first person i pick up the phone to in a crisis would be my mate laura I tell her everything and although im somtimes a bit harsh with her and her 'love life' lol she knows i love her to death.

I reckon theres three ppl who really know me inside out, Laura, my bezzie mate nick and his girlfriend claire. Nick has been my mate as long as i can remember and we have been through loadza shit togetha growing up and so we are dead close. He can be a lil over protective sometimes but as a rule trusts my judgement. and he knows exactly what to say or do to put a smile back on me face

Yeah, I suppose its just a case of using what lessons you can from them, good or bad, whether its how TO be or how NOT TO be (according to your own model of the world of course), either way, i'm greatful to have been taught their way of life in the first place, so that I could have some basic (& in many ways top notch) canvas to scribble my own, taylored-to-fit-me ways on

lol, i'm a bit like that myself, except i don't know my own secret handshakes.

but, my closest friends i've known since before i could walk and talk. infact, me and my best mate's mothers gave birth to us at almost the same time in different operating theaters at the same hospital, and got to know each other while nursing us in the same ward - we've know each other ever since. he definately knows me best, tho not entirely... it does take a lifetime to begin to get to know me tho so he's had a good head start, and i'm happy with that and consider myself lucky.
