| I got stopped once by the road side for speeding got a producer and a yellow fine ticket.....only thing was i couldnt find my drivers licence so i went the station and handed the rest of my documents in and they told me that as i couldnt provide my license it would go to court.........i had to wait for the court to write me with the details..........i hadnt heard anything after 4 wks so i went back to the station and told them.....they said there was a known delay and to just hold on...........im still hanging on 4 half yrs later lol  think i got away with it jus for losing my license hahaha fingers crossed fer ya shooms m8

This kind of shit really pisses me off. Rather than trying to find ways out of paying fines and getting points, would it not just be simpler to stick to the fucking speed limits? And as for them peeps who moan about the police who only put cameras up to make money.... They seriously piss me off. There's a really, really easy way to ensure they won't get a penny. Er... can you guess what it is?

| Speed Cameras should only be a deterrent!!!! Not as a means to "catch you out". They are supposed to be issued near accident black spots or schools etc. If they are hidden....it actually doesn't slow people down. My Dad is a really fast driver. Swishing about the road in his executive car bla bla. The fact he has been caught doesnt slow him down.....but if there is a visible speed camera on a long stretch of road he will......

I also reckon that speeding fines should be in proportion with your earnings. If I got caught speeding and was fined £300 I'd be fucking pissed. But if Beckham, or whoever, gets caught then they should be fined a million or something. When you're earing 100k a week, a £300 fine isn't like its going to mean you can't afford to eat that week, lol

| there is another way...get urself a sat nav system for ya car download the speed camera database from the internet and then u know exactly where they are and when they are coming and u can slow down for em.....and then welly it when ur out of range

AND when you consider no other bastard sticks to 70 anyway..... 70 mph on a motorway / dual carriageway is a fuckin joke & is archaic imo... fair do's it was probably appropriate for when it was 1st brought in... however the advances in cars over the years (braking ability etc etc) surely would mandate a welloverdue revamp of our speeding laws...

| i got a producer in oct  an went in to take my doc's. coz i didn't have both patrs of my license they said i'd to court.  finally got a letter in dec saying "oh well sorry forget about it!" cheers then!

| I used to drive fast until I got caught 3 years back doing 95mph on the radar gun. The copper was following me though at 97mph and he told me I could choose my fate. 97mph meant going to court in Somerset and 95mph meant I could plead guilty and take my fine and points so I took 95mph. Just glad he didn't clock me going down to Newquay when I was doing 135mph or i'd have been screwed! Only time i've been faster was 140mph+ going to Alton Towers a few month previous. I nearly shat myself in America recently though when I was filming my way back from a resort in the mountains coming down to the beautiful lake I was staying by and I was clocking speeds well over the speed limit, but for some reason I kept pulling my camcorder down to film the speedo. As I came up to some lights I just noticed the sheriff hiding at the lights and put my camcorder down just in time. I could see him looking at me though so I expected him to pursue me, but thankfully he didn't I know it isn't big or clever and I do it just to get wherever i'm going quicker really. I don't normally drive faster than 95mph going home from work now because I need my licence! |

| An annoying part about the speed limit on the motor way is that apparently it was only a temporary measure in the 70's due to the volume of traffic an they never took it off... Besides... if the speed limit on the motorway is 70 why do you see signs around which say danger ahead slow down to .... 70?
