The suprising coldplay thread has prompted me to put a poll up. Personally I can't stand coldplay. I feel ill hearing the whining, whinging voice of Chris Martin. It seems to have got more intense with each album. Arguably their best record is still Yellow where the screeching/whining is kept to a minimum. the rest is just repetative, uninspring biz. Furthermore Chris Martins self righteous "look at the profound message on my hand about starving children" makes me feel sick.

To answer the question I'm still not sure if I like or hate them.

i think there great. never used to like em at all. but its mint chillin music. the songs r catchy as fuck and the new album is the dogs nads.

oh and the new album x&y i didnt like that at all on the first listen. but after a few play thru's it started growing on me and it didnt stop growin and now i think its ferkin ace

coldplay are horrible. possibly the worst band ever not including death metal die die die type stuff. depressing, wailing out of tune vocals. by pompous little rich kids who need a good kicking. suicide music if ever ive heard it. with the exception of yellow, which i like since some bird off fame academy/x factor/ type reality show sang it lol

Cant stand there first album, like others i think they wine on like children with tooth ache . As for Yellow.....god i hate this song the most of all, and made me want to wash them into room 101 for ever, and throw away the key.....

but.....the second album just turned the whole situation around on its head

The Scientist has to be one of my all time fav tunes now lol, not often a song can bring you to tears as this does, and unlike the yellow in a painful way, this tune is far more powerful. Made me take a look at what i have lost in my life, and totaly re-ivaluate it

x&y...like butty, hated it at first, but it has realy grown on me now (appart from that "I will try and fi you") what ever it is called....back to square one is that imo

tried to listen to and appreciate the first album again...but to know availe, i still hate it


so Coldplay....good at the right time, but still think there best is a few years off yet

Well i absalutly love them in my eyes they can do no wrong. How can you say thier music is crap Chris martin writes some great songs by the way im inlove with chris martin pitty we are both married sorry flange but you know how much i like him lol At leased its easy listening.
