LOL! Yeah mines the same.

When I asked her why she never had it switched on she said somat like 'it keeps going off when I'm busy'

Fair play really.

But she still used to carry it about everywhere switched off tho

Terrbile aint they. Mum and dad both have a mobile for emergencies when they're out and about for me and my sis to get hold of them or vice versa.

However,
1...they never take them
2...they're never switched on and
3...they wouldn't know what to do with the phone in case of said emergency.

Think I may need to visit home over weekend and run some emergency phone scenarios with them

yeah mums and mobile phones dont mix, my mum had a mobile for about 6 months before she figured out that you could press down to read more of the text message

makes me wonder what weird text messages she was getting which just cut off half way thu a sentence, and she went 6 months before saying anything, mad

My mums got an old nokia phone which i had to blackmail her to have, ive upgraded so offered her my old colour 6610i but she said it was too complicated, i said its exactly the same just in colour, she said cheers but im happy with my black and white phone .
