Gym membership

I'm going to join a gym this week and JJbFitness is looking to be the favourite.

It's £30.50 per month plus a £15 joining fee has a 25 metre pool, monsoon shower, relaxing spa, aromatic steam room, sauna, loads of fitness machines etc.

It sounds like a good deal to me?

Anybody else joined one?

My next door neighbour is the manager of a Gym, he's always giving me free passes and nagging me to get down there..... Sounds like too much hard work to me!!

I used to go to Profiles gym a few years ago (only for 4 months or so) and that was about £3:50 a session and was like a smaller version of the JJB one. Whelan has pulled all the stops out for us Wiganers though by having slightly cheaper membership than the rest of the country and having the full works there

I seem like the only person these days though that doesn't have gym membership so i'll have to rectify that tomorrow

I'd pay 30 dabs a month for a magic pill that made you look like you'd been hammering the gym.

ps. wtf is a monsoon shower

I'm not sure, probably marketing speak for a heavy shower or something

I'm not really bothered about my physique, but I need the fitness and stamina for snowboarding and I haven't been in the best shape lately

It'd be nice to finish off with a sauna and a swimming pool too

imho

If you are looking to train on machines and weights then it works out cheaper to buy your own equipment in the long run, providing you have the room for it.

Perhaps, but I tried to find a seller of a vertical ascent climber a few months ago with no success. I know the gym that i'm after joining has them though, so combined with the other factors, it makes sense for me

My Gym session cost me £350 this weekend............. I have been paying £35 per month ...and I have not been in ten months until yesterday.

Hopefully I will get down more often and trying and get my sessions down to at least £35 a go ( that means I will go once a month )

hehe an easy trap to fall into

350?

It must be a really good fitness centre, or else you're rolling in cash.

I've got about 3 or 4 really good fitness centres nearby, and friends that go to all of them, but the JJB centre is reckoned to be the best. Maybe if I owed the 350 though, i'd have to consider one of the others lol
