friday, bed earlish as was in work next day..

started off on saturday in work from 8:30 till 12:30 dinner time , then went straight to play football which was a cup game that went into extra time. not what you need second game of the season when you haven't played regular football for the last 2 seasons. after comin back from 3 - 0 down, we got beat 4 - 3 AET and my poor old legs where a bit sore after it. on the plus side thou, i managed to score our second goal with my boney arse, not the prettiest of goals but like a bus load of mathematicians they all count (sorry )..........

got in from footy, got a bath and straight out to frankie and bennys for a good old scran, mushroom alfredo followed by a steak and rib combo meal which was fantastic mmmmmmmmm after that, was onto town to a few crappy bars and pubs for a few bottles of water (for me anyway), which was so so as we didn't really plan it and left it a bit late to get in the couple of half decent places in the pool, still had a buzz thou.

after a good sleep, up and out, ended up goin to Knowsley Safari park, was just spare of the moment, seen the signs as we passed and just decided to go in, was a buzz watchin the baboons wreck everyones car (only cause they didn't manage to wreck mine thou haha) had a lioness brush right up against the door of my car, thought it was gonna jump ontop of it for a moment the way it walked towards us, was boss bein that close to one in that sort of environment, they're absolutely gorgeous animals. same with the rhino's, 3 of them about 10 yards away from the car, was gettin scared incase they tried to ram us or incase one of them got horny and mistook my car for a female and tried to mount it or somethin lol. they're bloody huge deffo a good place to go

after that, went for a pub meal then onto the pictures to watch the longest yard, if ya like adam sandler films, and you liked the concept of mean machine with vinny jones in but instead of football(soccer) it was american football they played, then you'll like it. easy to watch, quite funny. we came out the pictures in a good mood anyway. which is always good

all in all crackin weekend , i have to say, at the minute life couldn't be much better.

Had a great weekend myself. Started off my going to a team mates wedding on the friday night. Had a good laugh especially when we realised we had got his wifes name wrong and called her donna instead of claire.

Then saturday had a match. But this week the gaffer quit so me and one of the lads ran the show and we got our first win of the season beating a local team 4-2. Nearly didnt see rest of weekend cause as i was running to celebrate a goal with the scorer one of there lads ran right across my path with his elbow sticking out. Only just missed my face and the bloody ref didnt see it I got my own back a bit later with a dead late challenge and didnt even get booked lol.

Then out in wakey once i had got home and the crew arrived. Had a good night in rumba for dannys leaving do and sonya's birthday. Even got to have a blast later on after butty.

Goodtimes was ok but i was well on my way by then so it didnt matter lol. Great to see loads of us out though in support of ben and for the birthday and leaving do's.

Then sunday managed to drag myself out of bed again to play even though i had only had 4 hrs kip lol. We managed to lose this game but no suprise as half the team were out with me the previous night lol. Only just lost though they scored the sickening winner about 10 mins from time just has most of us were dying on the pitch.

Then a chilled sunday before picking JFTB (jenny) up from the train station who is staying at casa del retro's this week, so at least she will keep the place tidy lol j/k

Am now sat here thinking i could do with being in bed after all that lol. But not got much chance of that

Andy

My weekend, in fact the last 4 days have been very surreal. My dad had a heart attack on Wed night so have been spending most of my time travelling back and forward to the hospital in Glasgow.

He's better now, got out yesterday. Doesn'y half give ye a shake tho.....still feel like a space cadette cos I've had about 5 hours sleep since Wed.

Thanks, yep it's good that he's out. It's amazing what they can do these days. He's only got 2 wee scratches on his wrist where they did the angiogram and angio-plasty (soz about the spelling ). The marks where they took blood from him are worse!

He freaked us out a bit yesterday by describing how he fealt the wires going round his shoulder and into his heart and how he watched the whole thing on a monitor

Sounds awful, having a heart attack (either myself or a family member) is one of my biggest fears, mad really coz im 25, hardly drink and don't smoke at all but it worries me loads. Scary tho, but im glad to hear he's recovering.
