Any In Car Audio Experts???

Please can somebody either help me or give me some advice?

I bought a brand new motor about 3 + 1/2 mts ago... In the past two days when Ive got music on, I've noticed the most annoying rattling sound coming out of the drivers side door that I think there ever was...

I think Ive been playing my drum & bass too loud and Ive blow the bass bins out of it... Its not crackling like its blown or owt... Its god dammed rattling and pissin me off that much I cant listen to to it....

Can anyone tell me if it could be the case that something has come loose, I.E. the speaker casing or such?

Any help or advice would be just reete grand!

Ta S-J x

Sarah it could be something as simple as the screws that hold the speakers on the door come lose.

I assume you only get the rattle when ya playing music and not when its quiet cause if that was the case its likely to be a door screw lose somewhere. Nothing too serious.

And if it is the speaker you can upgrade em pretty chepa anyways so they will be able to cope with copious amounts of bass lol

(assuming it's the factory fitted stereo system) if it's a 54 plate motor it should have at least a 12 month manufacturers warrenty on it.

you shouldn't have blown the speaker, might just be a loose screw or something. but if you have blown it, it's a fault within the car stereo system and should be covered by warrenty i would have thought.

I know it's a pain in the arse, but I'd go back to where you got it from and get them to replace the speaker if it's fooked or fix the bloody thing whatever's up with it. don't let them fob you off either, i have worked at a large car dealers and they'll try to (a lot of the time) if they can get away with it.

that's a assuming it's still the factory fitted stereo system, but even if it isn't, anything you buy now has a 12 months warrenty on it.

Thanx Guys.... Yeah I work in the motor industry myself Col and know exactly what little swines they all are! lol

Its got 3yrs manufacturers warranty on it and it is the factory fitted stereo system in it not messed with it or owt like that.... I thoguth that it may have been myself who as Ive said shook the bass bins out of it!!

The dealership who I bought it from have, well, errrr lets just say P*ssed me off royally from day dot of me purchasing my car and have been back twice already with a back brake light fault, so I guess I was just trying to avoid going back there if I could... But I know your right with what your saying and I shall take both of your advice and get it back in...

Ruffers its a Pug 206 Stealth hun.... I fear it may be my cars way of telling me it dont like Mickey Finn! lol

Thanx for the advice all!
