Valentine's Day

darwen and blackburn does have some nice spots but on the whole its a bit shit

Its a nice area Blackburn, fully 'enriched'.......actually, its so enriched in some parts, its a sheer joy to visit and just sit and ponder in the squalour and wonder how we ever managed as a nation before*........

Valentines day must be nice to some people, I often dont even realise its valentines day, if I dont venture into town. I saw valentines chocolates in Woolworths about the 12th of January when I was looking for somebody's birthday present - I know you have be prepared, but frig me!.

In some ways Im lucky not to have the whole hassle of the sharade, but in others, it re emphasises just how much conformity to societal expectaions Im not in the loop of . If 'Saint' in the name of schools can now be deemed offensive, I reckon Valentines day should be banned cos its offensive and discriminatory to others in the community.

yer i go past it on the colege coach n it does look abit shit (no offence like!) , she says she lives right at the top of darwen, so it might be nice at the top eh! lol

Do you remember doing that at school whenever someone asked if you'd got one, "the articulated lorry was just offloading as i had to leave the house!!!"

Nah i know what ya saying....ive never been big on it myself either...... dont mind the card thing but i dont go splashing lots of cash that i dont have just to say i love sumone......i think it was minxy who said 'you should be able to show sumone u love them day in day out without trivial presies or sumthing like that' and i agree wholeheartedly with that!!

Our girlfriends are sending us into town, to buy lingerie shopping for them.

But why do we do this every year? If you love someone, why are we pushed into buying a load of tat every friggin' year?!
