Is this about filling half the total volume of the tube? So you'd need more than 2 to half fill it, since there will be space between the balls. I'll guess three, coz I don't have time to work it out.

i'm guessing 4.

2 whole ones.

Half a one at the bottom 4 quadrants.
Half one at top 4 quadrants.
Then another full one in the middle bit.

BTW, this makes sense in my head.

it's not a trick question, none of this half empty full stuff...and ILP is right, I'm talking about the volume of the tube..

he's actually got the answer right as well, not too impressed with the theory though, where's ya working out?

I'm confused by that one...But never mind it dont take much.... LoL

Ive just had a txt puzzle of my dad that I have not got a bloody clue about... So quiz master Gradley please can you help me with this one, so that my dad thinks Im well smart....

Here goes....

"2 coins add up to 7p and one of them isnt 5p what are the coins?"

Like wtf?

Is that a trick question, as in one of them isn't 5p - this one is a 2p, the other is a 5p.
