What's yer fave Autumn / Winter food, for those long dark evenings...

OK, I'm a bit of a foodie on the quiet...

Am very interested to hear what Autumn/Winter does to yer taste buds and yer appetite.

Especially anything a little more unusual... seeing as we're all flung far and wide around the place, no doubt there will be some interesting replies (I'm not scared of the kitchen by any means - I positively love cooking a meal for friends n family). Let me know any strange ingredients too...

;o)

hehe ;o)

Oh aye, me pops said to me last weekend "you need to see a doctor mate" after I made some lateral comment - so of course I had to reply "sorry dad, remember that thing called genetic inheritance?" - that shut him up.

Tatty Ash? What's that in English?

Nice one oh Norrverrrrrn One.... all recipes / ideas appreciated.

Butternut Squash n ginger soup... that's all good: Bet you've got to be light on the ginger (fresh) and I'd lace it with a decent amount of freshly milled black pepper, a swirl of single cream and then top it off with grated nutmeg...

Bit too veggie for me personal tastes, but I know's where ya coming from.
