What things do you consider make a good thread ?

Does it have to have a lot of love ?

Does it have to have some humour in there ?

A bit of light are hefty banter ?

Do you like a good argument ?

Do you prefer gossip ?

What threads do you like and which do you dislike ?

Its easier to say what makes a bad thread!!..


Gossip is shite (he siad she said they said)......, winding up or making a nuisance and claiming it was a 'joke' is shite (youre a fucking tosser...I was only joking really)......inbred 'insider' clique jokes which only three people understand is shite ("Beans, anyone got any beans?" then a major uproar of laughter by two people).....tales of how utterly pissed/stoned/close to death you were on some dodgy drug is shite (yes youre a fucking big hard nut having drug cocktails and almost killing yourself or somebody else whilst driving wasted - how proud you must be)......posts for pure post count bumping are shite.....(look, I have a pointless poll, I may juice a nother 20 small posts with this one)

But, I think you will find everyone is different, with different expectations and different ideals of whats a good thread.

A good thread should probably be humourous, with a tad of banter, argumentative and serious/informative/thought provoking where necessary, sentimental sometimes, yet stupid and totally insane at the same time. A good thread is where you learn something about somebody or something, have a laugh, have a thought provoking insight against your grain, go mental, be caring or helpfull, etc etc.

But thats just me. Post Cop. lol.

Its nice to have chill out area for general chit chat, personaly I like some chit chat but I also like threads that are more thought pravoking as well. What I dont like is threads where people are just having ago at eachother and calling it bannter.

unlike 90% of the pointless threads on here. ie:-
