my friend has just rung to say she has been the docs (with her spots) and the doc thinks she has chicken pox!

now...i was sat with her on monday night for about an hour up our other pals house!

is there any chance i could have got myself chicken pox too......

i have never had anything like this mumps or pox or anything...so im guesing im pretty resiliant to these kindsa things......but i have been told that if u catch c.pox as an adult u can be very poorly as its ten time worse....???

If you've never had them before then you deffo could get them, there called shingles, although its quite rare in adults.

If you've already had chicken pox, any exposure to the chicken pox virus actually improves your immunity to it, and greatly reduces the chance of you succumbing to shingles in old(er) age.

It's not impossible, but unlikely that you are naturally immune. However, as RiskyLady says, you could have quite a good immune system and naturally "miss-out" on these things.

My immune system isn't too bad, but I put that down to sitting next to a GP's son in school, meaning I caught just about everything when I was little.

You'd know within a day or two if you've got them, they start appearing one by one

Then after an hour or so, your legs start to swell up, and your arms turn black. Then your ears start bleeding and your eyes fall out

.. Just kidding
