do u believe in love at first sight?

I put yes, coz I'd like to believe in love at first sight, being a bit of a romantic at heart!

But has anyone considered this one? you meet someone on the internet, fall in love and dont have a friggin clue what they look like, isn't that love before first sight?

no, I you can have the lust for someone and it mainly a sexual attraction, this coupled with a good personality and someone who makes you laugh and smile but at the same time makes you feel comfertable when in there presence and generally happy to be with can apear like love, especially when you get thjose butterflies when your due to meet them and so on, love its self is a very very deep feeling, the above are just feelings that scratch the surface, to truley love someone you need to know them inside out, you need to know there flaws as well as what makes you happy, there needs to be an equal understanding from both parties and in order to get all this you need to know each other fully, love grows day by day and between the right people never stops, to be fully in love takes time, "I love you " is a phrase that can be said very easily but to be ment takes a lot more work (when I say work I dont mean this in a sense that its hard work because it isnt, its easy and pleasurable)

Once your truey in love, theres no going back unless its forced upon you, and this is one of the most painfull experiences known to man, far more painfull than any physical pain (bar labour) however it lasts a hell of a lot longer and can lead some suicidal cause breakdowns and so forth.

Love has its down side as well as its up so its imperative you make the right choice when you do let yourself go.

If love at first sight existed, imagine spending 12 months morning a 1 night stand and spending the next 5 - 10 years still calling there name out in your sleep and wishing they were still with you even though your not in pain any more but just wishing you were back together, IMO this would never happen.

Hows that ?

I've gotta agree there mate, true love is a connection made on a much deeper level just consciousness. You can have a true connection with someone before conscious thought of liking them even comes into it. It's all about souls who were meant to be together.

I think it's something that only a few people actually experience, hence why some people are sceptical about the subject.

Thats an excellent question Ms Tickle!. Love before first sight, I can go along with that theory. At last, we seem to agree!

I too am going to vote yes, becuase I do believe love at first sight can happen, it may be a combination of lust, general attractivity (like a gravitational pull lol) and love, but yeah I think it can happen. I think sometimes theres just 'something' that just takes your breath away on multiple levels at once and that can build.

According to my parents, when they met at 16/17 it was love at first sight. My dad was looking out of a window onto a terrace street and my mum was with her friends walking past, they glanced, and well, they ended up getting married. Good job, otherwise I wouldnt be here lol.

Biggup to your parents, especially if they're still together.

I think a lot of people argue against love at first sight because they're afraid to use the term love generally (a defence mechanism against getting hurt). But if you look closely at the people you know, you'll find there are many people you have love for, whether this love lasts is another question lol but an instant attraction is sometimes just as strong as true love itself and nothing to be scared of.

As for love before first sight goes, I have two friends who fell for each other on this site as a matter of fact, then when they met, they realised they'd loved and lost each other in another life. Might sound crazy to some, but I think it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard

I've never envisaged my old bickering partner as a romantic kinda bloke, but then you never really know!

You can kid yourself that what you feel is love for someone, but at first sight, or from a chatroom / internet forum or wherever, it can't be can it?

There's many things that are up there with the feelings like love, but they aren't love, and I'm sure that the intensity of feelings you have for someone would be short lived.

Sort of a 'whirlwind romance' - probably following a breakup - on the rebound and all that.

I've experienced it, and seen it happen with friends countless times.

I never used to believe it but trust me it happens, and when it does there ain't nothing you can do about it. It just jumps up and whacks ya between the eyes LOL and it's the best feeling in the world

Tis a mad thing - I reckon ya can me but there is loads of different strengths of Love it shouldnt be just classed as "in Love" as one particular strength - Ya can fall in love str8 away then it gets stronger and stronger.

well i do believe in love at first sight its like what siruis n tickle AB45 said it goes alot deeper than attraction, u are drawn to that person and everything about them fasinates u, iv fell in love at first sight and but we lost eachother and i will always love him no matter what and he says same thing about me.BUT right now my feelings for someone is stronger i just hope when i meet him everything will make sense , am i making sense lol
