I dont want to do recruitment anymore, its a shit job altho I keep getting hounded by people saying 'are you sure you dont want to do it anymore, cos we have a position going here' Can they not take no for an answer lol suppose not cos its their job !!!

Account Manager is a much nicer option I dont mind doing some sales, but not predominatley, cos Ive been there, dont that and am jolly well sick of it

I once went for a recruitement job in town, sounded ok, but they didn't like the changes I was proposing, to cut down on the "stupid" questions they asked

Anyhow, its just like sales innit, as you have to sell jobs to people, I couldn't be fecked with that, I was never any good at selling.

I'd be like "yeah, you don't really want this do you, save yer pennies luv, and put it to a nice holiday" lol lol

I've got an interview for tomorrow afternoon 2pm for a Helpdesk logging job, security company in Stockport centre, it's 24hrs so 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts

But sounds ok, and it's sommat I could easily do, so will give it me best shot

Apparently, some employers just chuck em if they're too long winded.

Miss Tickle is right there BJ. I havent had a look at your cv, but when we used to get them sent to us, if they were more than 2 pages long, theyd go to the back of the pile and were generally forgotten about

I'd love my own business, but after once going to a bank for a starter pack and that, I had the fear reading through it all.

Most businesses don't make any money in the first 1 or 2 years, you're just breaking even if that.

And having seen mates businesses fall apart so easily, it could be a nightmare, unless of course you've a sure fire winner of a business idea, that would take off through the roof in the first 6 months!

At times I'm too sensible for my own good (yeah right, judging from my last thread with the poll, heh heh)

The thing is I want my own interior design business, but I need to go back to college to finish off my studying (cos I got waylaid back in the early 90's ) but I dont want to be a 'student' again. So Im sturggling with what to do at the mo

I need money to be able to afford to do my interior design, so am just gonna have to get a job for a while and then think about studying a bit later on.

Its deffo what I want to do with my life, Im just finding it hard getting it off the ground

Maybe I should start doing the lottery but then I wouldnt have to work lol !!!

Why don't you get a 9-5 job, just to pay the bills and what not.

You could get an evening course at college to complete your design certs and suchlike, could be a winner.

Be hard work doing a job and studying at night, but could be a good way to sort it and achieve your goals

Well that is my plan Im trying to get focused and sort it, but I need to get a job first, so im concentrating on that (just recieved a quite positive phonecall actually ) fingers crossed eh

The thing with design tho, its quite costly what with all the materials and that, that you have to buy, and what with my extravagant lifestyle I need a decent job to keep me in the manner that I am accustomed lol

Just been reading this thread and got to say it was being in the position your all in that pushed me to go (eventually) and study and aim for the carrer ive always wanted. Its been hard slog the past 2 years of it and ive still 3 years to go but ive never looked back it has to be one of the best choices i made,,and you can work while you study its knackering but you know its helping you get to where you want to be.

Sweet like yourself i really struggle with authority, go back to study girl you've got the ambition there that will get you to success,

i did exactly the same thing huns....did a levels in design and got way laid half way through...i also wanna go back and get the relevant quals but stuck in the system now and cant afford to do it....tis a bugger...

my mum used to have her own interior design business back in the day so i guess its in the blood......we should do something about this huns...lol....and get it off the ground! but dont expect me to dress like this hahahaha

It's great being self-employed, having your own freedom and being your own boss!!

The best thing about it though is doing a job you actually love. Takes sooooo much stress out of life!

Even if it doesn't work out, you just go back what you did originally, nothing ventured, nothing gained!!! Go for it
