One armed people

Whilst just trying to smoke a cigarette and wash the pots at the same time, i've just developed a new found respect for Jake Goody's mum and other one armed people.

I think all us bi armed people should just take a minute every now and again to think of just how hard life is for uni armed people, it really can't be easy for them.

Thankyou.

i know how bad it is

this was a accident i had in work (not self inflicted)
i severed my tendons and nerves on my right wrist ,i still have no feeling in my little finger and the 1 next 2 it
the wound was a bit mingin 2 you could see bone and it pissed out blood .
at the hospital i went outside for a smoke and saw a pool of blood on the floor and thought , some poor b@stard was in a bad way only to realise it was me lol

my right fore arm was stiched(32 pairs of the feckers i can see even though the whole scar is 3 inches pmsl) and in a plaster to stop it from moving and a sling.
i couldnt do hardly anything, a mate had to help me button my jeans up and shirts and boots ect i couldnt roll a decent spliff or do half of the things that i could do before my accident (some i still find a bit difficult, not having the same strength as before and it also aches)
i can understand how loosing a arm causes so many easy things to be hard or next to impossible. try opening a jar that is sealed with one hand or try doing button up jeans with one hand

has any1 seen the american woman who has a baby is a housewife does everthing that a normal mum would but she has no arms
she even changes nappys drives cooks puts her make up on and everthing else you could think of with her feet

whats mad is all of us could do the same things with our feet if we had to its just we dont use them, she has to

Bloody hell mate, thats harsh!!!!

I suppose you always adapt to your situation and learn to live with things. I know a girl with one arm and she seems to function quite normally but she was born with only one arm so has never know any different.

Respect!!

Wow!, I can't believe how people can cope. Its something you never think about unless someone mentions it. The woman who has no arms and can drive and do her make-up and stuff must be shattered at the end of the day!. I must have read the message wrong? she has no arms?. well she can't drive then can she?

i dont know if she had to take a special test ,i bet the test examiner was gobsmacked tho
if i remeber right when she was a little girl like 3 or so she got electrocuted and both arms were tottaled .
i dont know a word for the feeling it gave me watching her with her baby doin normal stuff ,a bit like admaration or respect but warm

on the same program was a woman who had no legs aswell she used a skatebourd to move and even had a kid and a normal legged husband

it makes you realise and be thankfull for what you have, and proves that a person is still able to perform normal tasks by addapting if they have lost a limb are disabled or whatever

I also have a friend who lost an arm in a car crash and it amazes me how hes adapted. He makes me die with his sense of humour also as the first thing he was concerned about when he lost it was how was he gonna turn the pages of his porno mag while having a hand shandy lol - a true star It certainly is true how much we take for granted and max respect for the way many people deal with it - dont know wether i could, especially my sight(imagine that, not being able to see the pages as well as turn em!! -lol ).
Also saw that woman who uses her feet, wow i was blown away by her determination and outlook on life.

No shes only allowed to a vechicle moded to her need by as for her driving test it would be exctly same as evry body elses, thats the law. Disablebed driver have to meet same stadards as evry body else to get licence to drive, 3 point turn, revese round corned, emergany stop ect the lot.

it just makes her achivement even more oustanding.
