peppers are rated on an international scale from 1 to 10 (1 being weakest, 10 being hottest). jalepeno's are a high 4, low 5. scotch bonnets are a 9. habanero peppers are 10's.

lol i have a mate who has a chineese chip shop in windsford ,one day after hearing from a fellow mate that i had a asbestos mouth ,he dared me to eat this pepper he said it was a realy strong (one of the strongest ones) and i would have no chance of eating it, i ate it an it was fecking hot, but i ate it and 2 more besides it got me respect for it but it gave me gut rot and a half and me gob felty like i had been licking razor blades and i was weating some
but it was worth it just to prove me mate wrong
so i feel your pain but not as bad as yours lol
its also not wise taking contacts out after handling em either OUCH

This cheeky git then comes and finds me at work with said scotch bonnet and gets me to bite into it. He says something like "Here, have a bite of this. It's a flavorful pepper you may want to put in a chili con carne." Like a true sucker I bite into it. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! Mouth was on FIRE!!!!!!! Hottest damn thing on earth!!!! I threw my head under a running faucet and drown myself with water.
