i tell my nan i love her quite a lot and she tells me a lot too, i know she's not my mum but she's as good as, me and my dad don't hug atall and he doesn't tell me he loves me but then it's the same the other way round. He knows i love him so much and i know that he loves me!!

He went abroad last week and everytime he phoned he told me he loved me which i thought was mainly down to him being drunk but when he got back he told me he really missed me and i know he meant it.... i don't think i would really change how it is, but i wouldn't change anything about my dad anyway.

We are very close and i think i must speak to him at least 4 times a day but i think if we started hugging it would be too wierd

Incidentally, I once found it easier admitting I loved someone* on an internet message board than I have done telling my mum/dad I love them.

How bizarre? or is it just a sign of the times (cue Prince impressions)

Yes, I'm aware that might sound sad, but fuggit, sometimes you just can't help it

I agree the internet is a great tool to tell somebody things you would probably never do face to face, when I meet somebody online, theres some people I can reveal allsorts to and feel comfortable. The only thing is when you can no longer interact with that person you cant just go over! lol.

If my parents lived away, or I lived in another country or part of the UK, Id probably tell them a lot more online than in real life, I dont remember the last time I said it to either of them, apart from birthday and Christmas cards. Its rather sad really isnt it?

i dnt ever leave the house of any of the members of my family, my mum, my aunts my nana etc without sayin i love them first.

when i go to bed, i always kiss my mum on the cheek, give her a hug and tell her i love her.

we have always been like that.

my little brother (he's 7) will walk past me in the street wehn he's out playing and i'm onmy way home and tell me he loves me. i like it that way. so in turn, i voice my emotions quite readily, which, sometimes can be a bad thing.

one of my oldest best friends, used to tell my mum she loved her, cause she never said it to hers, and my mum used to tell her bk.

its nice.
