Would you believe it

Got home from the match last night and thought i think i will see wats been going on on here all day. So i turned my pc on and went back downstairs to watch the rest of the France v Croatia game.

But when i came back my pc wasn't on. Seems like the bloody power unit as gone Or at least i hope thats all it is

And theres me thinking i would be able to save loads of coin by not going out this weekend. Fat chance

Anyways if i dont get it fixed i will be AWOL over the weekend. Wat am i gonna do

Andy

Seems to be a lot of this happening, one of my pc's died on me last week, not the cable, so must be the PSU, not got round to getting another yet, but I'm told ANY psu will do, so if say mine was a 250w jobby, a newer 400w will be fine and won't fry it, it just might be a bit more noisier.

There's a few people had this happen in the last week too on another forum, at first I thought it was some kind of payload virius that had hit us all off emule or sommat, but I think it might be down to the heat...

Update

Well it had to happen the time had to come when my pc had to die

Got a new PSU but as soon as it was installed it failed straight away

After closer examination and the fact i could smell something burning i decided it was time to think about an upgrade as i have this pc for two yrs now and it had been on constantly nearly all of that time.

Its cost me £210 quid but worth every penny. Upgraded from a Athlon Xp 1700 to a 2800 with new board and ramm and a flash new case with transparent side.

Only downside to all this other than the expense is i now have to re install everything again

Lets hope this one lasts me more than two yrs

Andy
