IMO Sven should resign. Rooney off for heskey has to be the worst decision I have ever seen. Heskey comes on what does he do? Falls over and then gives away a needless free kick which leads to the defeat. THE STUPID BIG FAT F**KING T**T. Losing to brazil after trying to defend a 1-0 lead I may just forget one day but to do the same thing twice is inexcusable. I am not going to watch the other two matches. I think Sven is a terrible manager. If I was rooney I'd find a great grandad that was irish or something and play for them. If there was one player crappy, than it was David Beckham. He should never take this penalty after missing against Turkey on the qualifier and Barthezz knows for sure how beckham shoots, because he spend a few years with Beckham at Man UTD.

Second crappy action was by Steven Gerrard. Don't know what his thoughts was by playing this crappy pass back to James, who has no other chance then stop Henry.

on the whole England played well, did what they had to (for 89mins at least)
Sol campbell was the rock in defense and rooney was on fire up front.

I'd certainly fancy their chances to whoop croatia and switzerland and hold their own against any of the other teams in the latter stages

You can't defend a 1-0 lead for 60 minutes and If it would have stayed like that I wouldn't have thought it was a monumental moment in football history I would have thought phew that was bloody lucky. It looked like they thought their first half performance was enough to cover them for 90 mins.
Woody I honestly think lampard, rooney and king had blinders but 3 good performers is not enough to see us into the later stages

I thought that it wasnt going to bad and we had contained them until that fatefull two minutes came. We had the worlds best striker(henry) and player (zidane) pretty much out of the game until then and all it took was two mistakes.And when the best player in the world is there to punish ya...shit happens.

Only people to blame are either Beckham, Gerrard and/or Heskey.

Rooney was greedy when he got the penalty, he should have squared it to Vassel who as in open space near the edge of the box in the centre of goal ... then the Beckham miss wouldn't have come into it.

I agree that subbing Rooney for Heskey was a bad choice, although I don't disagree with the actually subbing of Rooney; don't you think it was better to sub Rooney than to see him sent off? he was getting more petulant as the game went on and was lucky not to get booked...!

Either way, $hit result.

not really into football and didnt bother to watch the match either cause it doesnt interest me, but from what ive heard like, they were 1 - 0 down france most of the game, and thats not bad keeping them down for so long considering there world champions.

I hope the team dont dwell on the bad sides of the game as much as you lot do, and they look at the more posative side.
