Cheers chick. Going back to the thread it seems it doesn't matter who runs the country etc it's up to us to shape our lives and do the best we can for ourselves and our children. Whoever is incharge will bring out some new way of robbing us of our hard earnt pennies. I just want to better myself so my little un has someone to be proud of and to be able to give him everything he needs in life.

ditto ditto ditto! nice one! u sound like a good chap to me

and wen i mentioned cultivating self worth in young people, thats what i tried to do in my work with the 'bad kids' as they were labelled, just i like i do with my own son or indeed any kids.. its that that equips them with the skills they need to shape their lives and do thier best for thier kids regardless of wot shite government we have!

you making me blush LOL
The way I see it once you have a child it throws a new meaning on life Your own life takes a back seat, maybe thats why all the spin was put on Mr Blair and his kids ie all the pics of family activities. Like you say it's all to do with the socialisation and conditioning of children. If they are brought up a wrong un then they know no other way. It's just good to know that there are people out there who want to make a diference, you just restored my faith in human nature

now im blushing lol

aye there is alot of shite out there for people to cope with but its always how u view things that makes the difference, the effort you put in and the passion to encourage others to value themselves..
if everyone loved themselves and truly believed in themselves and the goodness of mankind then the world would not have the conflict it has today!

anyhow sorry im rambling now!

Matey, It's all to do with "stepping outside the box" LOL
I've learnt to do it after loads of problems ie breakup etc. You learn to step back and look at the big picture and not get bogged down with your problems.
It makes you more objective on things I find. Like the voting thing, it doesn't matter who is in charge because I'll do what I want for the best of me and my own, maybe it's a parent thing but it's a good skill to have.
As Public Ememy said "Don't believe the hype"

I voted Labour, although i don't agree with a few of their european policies. I do think that they have made the life of the ordinary working class person better.
I have read some of your comments and your a right bunch of glass half empty people. Whats you problem with Labour. We have decent public services. Unemplyment is really low and there is opportunities for people to live theit lives how they wish. What more do people want?
Accept the facts, you will have to pay tax, you will have to work. get on with your lives, enjoy them and stop whingeing about nothing. The thing I find funny is that peeps were probably saying the same thing 100 years ago, I suppose it's just human nature to moan.
You lot don't realise how good you have it.

Oh and all members ofd the bnp could be shot for all I care, fekkin nobs the lot of em

I couldn't vote cos I ain't on the 'lectoral roll here. If I had it would have been for the UK Independance Party - in my opinion Kilroy has the right ideas and the right policies. A career politician will have had to have 'sleazed' his way to the top of their party - no doubt picking up no end of bad habits and liabilities on the way, and having spent the best part of their career getting there, they're going to be more concerned about staying in power and saving their own slimey buts to actually do the job properly. Kilroy doesn't have any of these liabilities and he's got the balls to stand up for what he believes in - even if it doesn't sit well with everyone.

Everyone knows the situation with asylumn seekers is way out of control - but the 'career' politicians pussy-foot around the issue for fear being accused of being racist and jeopardising their precious careers!

Giving up our sovereignty to join europe is a hideously bad idea - its great in theory, a truly united europe would be far greater than the sum of its parts - but it ain't gonna work like that! I have no doubt that the second the ink is dry some beurocrat will be telling me that I now have to pay more tax's as we are now part of the EU or that the new currency we're using doesn't buy half as much as its sterling equivalent. No doubt we'll be told it's to bring us finanacially in line with the rest of Europe 'but in real terms we're all better off' - but I will bet my right nut that it won't work the other way. Can you see the tax we're being charged on fags, booze and petrol being reduced to be in line with the rest of europe? Will it buggery!

It may seem a bit silly wanting to vote someone who has seen more daytime tv than the lot of us put togther - but it would be fekkin INSANE to vote for anyone else!

...rant over...

Why would anyone vote for a party that only has one policy?
I agree that we have to work out carefully our position in Europe, but to prosper we need to be a part of Europe. What gets me is the way that people oppose change even though it could be beneficial to their lives.
As for Kilroy silk, the guy is just a racist and i would love to give him a good kickin

[quote=misstickle]Firstly, I think that it's great that you are so opinionated and you are passionate about your politics, but Sirius, the BNP, are you serious?

The BNP are a bunch of Nazis!! If they had it their way anyone none british would be hung or made into slaves.

now come on, i dont think this is right.

The BNP stand for a large portion of the country in their views. Its about time the mainstream partys took up some of their policys.

I used my vote, I chose dif parties for the dif elections, coz thy're all good at dif things. I think it's important to vote. If u don't like the way things r run, choose someone who u think could do a better job. Alot of peeps whinge on about Twatty Blair, but then don't vote to change anything.

I may have been a little harsh but in a nutshell they are true facists!!

The leader and many of the members used to be followers of the National Front (NF) who are the british version of the KKK, violent, racist and highly dangerous.
The only real difference is that the BNP home in on issues that people in our country are particularly concerned with at the moment, like immigrants and Europe.

However their policies are as false as their campains, and if given half a chance to run this country, they would destroy everything good about Britain within a second!

I'm not even going to say that's just my opinion, because I'd bet my life on it and I would definately condone violence on Nick Griffin (BNP leader!) Easty, if you fancy it
