theres a list that BT can put you on that makes it illegal for telesales people to contact you. Its not X directory as that just witholds your number from the phone book, but theres a white list or something like that.

Anyway if a telesales person calls you once your on this list you can sure them £2000.00 for the privilage.

Every telesales company should check all the calls they make with that list on a daily basis and they dont. Sue way to make a few bob like, and youll soon get to love telesales peolpe however once your on the list you find that the amount you get will seriously reduce

I saw a good one on a US site for this sort of thing - it said that everyone did this it would feck em up for good

When they phone and start their spiel then you interrupt with a comment such as "Sounds like a very interesting offer -i want to hear more - let me just turn off the spuds" - then leave the phone on the side and piss off - if everyone did this they would wait 5 mins b4 ending the call, thus reducing the amount of calls that can be made and the cost effectiveness of telesales

with the junk mail - put their schtick in the envelope provided and send it back to them - if everyone who they sent it to did this it would double the cost of thieir mailshot and also increase the staff costs for return post sorting


these sort of things only work if nuff peeps do it though

Sheesh, Ive never heard of anybody buying something off a telesales call, but Im a northern backwater misfit, so it may be different culture where you are.

Have you ever baught anything from a telesales call? Please tell me they're not ringing in vain!.

I have nothing against the callers just doing thier jobs (I dont envy them that job!), but my goodness, whats it all about? Does it actually generate work? I suppose it must do, but Ive never heard of anyone ever getting anything.......

Well, if its a legitimate call about something serious and very much real, I dont mind a call from the bank.......its when they start bugging you for other options and overdrafts, loans and other stuff I dont need I feel justified in taking the hump!!!! If that means you, well, I hope youre never on the other end of the phone to me thats all I can say, hahahah. j/k. Nah, I stay polite really (somehow ).
