i'm going on line!

i am finally taking the plunge and going on line at home next week..........no doubt things will all go pear shaped cus i know nowt about nowt..but hey lets move with the times.............its been doin me head in not being able to listen to the pirate revival boys do their stuff...or the tunes of the day......

i get the feeling though that my mates wont see me for dust.........does that happen, will the novelty wear off......heres to becoming an internet recluse...lol....

....any advise greatful cus i am terified o gettin a virus.....wont have the first clue wot to do if i kindly inherit one........

i got a firewall virus checker type thing..(see wot i mean)....but may need something more sufficient......argghhhh! insane...got no brain....

You will start to order things online, and go out shopping less and less.

You will stop buying music, as you can get it free online.

You will stop going to the cinema as you can get access to films for free.

You'll get up and check your e-mither before you sniff around the letterbox for mail.

Heh, don't you love technology?

It's good and it's bad too, but hey, as long as you have a firewall (tiny personal firewall or zone alarm), and norton antivirus 2004 (recommended) you'll be safe from nasty viri and suchlike.

Just remember to keep updating the microsoft windows updates (as long as your copy of XP Pro is a legit one) and you'll be fine.

.i dont think it is a ligit copy of xp that i have....so hey presto....problem number 1 before i even start........shittttttt!

i knew this was a bad idea.......but an essential one.....wot do i do.....

dont worry about viruses, they are all easy to clean off and nothing more than a bloody pest. Get yourself AVG from www.grisoft.com its free

gets soulseek as well to transfer your music

get winamp to listen to your music

get a decent graphics card to watch your porn

good soundcard to listen to your music

your laughin

he he....i know wot you mean about being on here 24/7...well during the day....not gettin much work done.............

got a decent graphics card...so i am laughin there...lol.......

my sound card is the on board card at the mo cus my creative lab one buggered up on me not long back..it ok though...i get a good sound from it.......and as far as getting on soulseek and downloading this and that........not a clue......i am sure i will learn though......

No problemo, give me a shout when your online, and I'll send you a file and tell you how to change your Windows XP Key to a legit one

Once that is done, you can then get all the updates without a problem.

quite true my sweet.......i think i will have to control myself and make a concerted effort to peel myself from the swivel chair....which is hard enough now...lol.......

and go see my buddies from time to time.......
