Living up to my cynical git perception.....I have to disagree, well, slightly.

I thought the first hour was bobbins, so slow I was nearly dropping asleep - just like I was z'ing away at Troy at about 1.00 in the morning the fortnight before at the Trafford Center too! lol. Mind you, it was once again VERY late by the time we got watching it.

There were many things which didnt sit right in the film, a lot of the films actions were void of any reason why they did what they were doing, and a few classical 'cheese on a stick' Americanism moments - but saying that, it was a good premise and a good enaction of the story which could unfold.

There were plenty of aspects of the film that I liked, but I wouldnt rave about it myself, however everybodys different. I enjoyed it, but I think I had been built up to much before hand.

Im glad you enjoyed it, and I do recommend seeing it, just dont expect a monumental era classificating film of epic proportions

Cheerio

Sirius.

LOL, Im no film critic like, but defining and epic proportion milestones is Sirius's book of films include ones (albeit clich'e to say) such as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Usual Suspects and many science fiction films I remember but cant think of the name! lol. Oh yeah, and the Matrix......seeing the first matrix before we had any idea of the concept of the story line - fekking masterpiece, blew the cobwebs off my braincells anyway - what a ride! lol. The Last Samurai was amicable viewing too, as was the hard hitting veitnam war one from last year - gruesome, but a bit of a soul shaker.....no happy ending either

Im a sucker for a well told story with a fantastic twist at the end, ie Matrix and Fight Club.....fight cllub was a great twist, totally unexpected!, brilliant.

Bulletproof Monk was unintentionally funny, lol, also I enjoyed Starsky and Hutch quite a lot after I thought I wouldnt do before hand!

See ya

Sirius.

I quite enjoyed it but it drag on a bit and some of effects were stupid... like how the hell did that boat at the end rise through 20 feet of snow? It did have some "all ahead cheese-factor 12" moments and some pointless sub-plots that served no purpose. I give it a fuggy-rating of 3 out of 5 Good eye candy but hella stooopid

I also saw Broken Lizards Club Dread this weekend. Not a bad little movie but don't expect the same laughts as with SuperTroopers because its more on par with the likes of Scream but without the budget.

Just got Bubba Ho-Tip on DVD... not seen it yet but I'm hoping for big things. Will let y'all know after I've watched it. Any film with Bruce Campbell as Elvis has to be a must
