I dont normally forward this kind of shit on but this is worth a read and forwarding!

Subject: Campaign to Reduce UK Petrol Prices - a rip-off at 89p a litre!

We are going to hit close to 89p a litre by the summer. Want petrol prices
to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action.

Philip Hollsworth offered this good idea:
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy petrol on a certain day"
campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just
laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to hurt ourselves by
refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a
problem for them.

BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really
work. Please read it and join in! Now that the oil companies and the OPEC
nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP at
77p -80p, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS
control the marketplace not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more
each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see
the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not
purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.
Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest
oil companies, ESSO and BP. If they are not selling any petrol, they will be
inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other
companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP
petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, don't whimp out on me at this
point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of
people!!

I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send it to at
least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more
(300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth
generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If
those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then
30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further,
you guessed it... .. THREE HUNDRED MILLION
PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's
all.(and not buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that take? If each of us
sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300
MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! I'll
bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you! Acting
together we can make a difference. If this makes sense To you, please pass
this message on. PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER
THEIR PRICES TO THE 69p a LITRE RANGE

Action:
It's easy to make this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your petrol
at Shell, Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons (75p)Jet etc. i.e.boycott BP and
Esso.

Its full of shite anyway. Its not just the price of the oil/petrol from the suppliers - its the tax on it!!!!!!!.

Also, there was a interesting discussion on the radio today about the water fuelled car (no, Im not imagining the concept afterall). Yes, the inventor of it was baught out and silenced by the oil companies but there has apparently been other variations of 'additived' water and electric battery combo's already proved in production (!!!) but are unsaleable becuase of the impact on the jobs/oil revenue that governments and countries get allover the world. The good thing about the water combo car is it doesnt pollute - how cool is that?. Ofcourse Im just going off the radio interview but id like to find out more about the water concept and its validness.

This followed on from another topical show the week before, where they were promoting diesel cars running chip pan fat and wheat crop type 'spent' oils, all you do is pay 25p a litre to the government or something and in effect you can run your car for next to nowt. Wasnt there also LRP gass or something too? I dunno.

Its about time we found an alternative method and stopped relying on the bloody oil companies and the conflicts they cause, this should be a wakeup call to poeple higher up to seriously start looking into alternatives. The impact of the world economy and job losses is a nightmare I wouldnt wanna sort out though

Sirius.

i try to get it at shell anyway tbh. their new diesel extra is really good
i claim all my business miles back at 11.0p a mile anyway so for what i use personally it isnt all that much. 20 quid normally lasts for near 300 miles if i dont
have me lead right foot on.

petty is to expensive its just pure tax an profit ,water powered cars, i heard that somewhere like brazil has taxis that are water powered .i am looking at getting a lpg conversion kit for my landrover its cheap for gas so i could make back the cost in a year an half ,my other option is to fit a deisel engine and runn it on a deisel an veg oil mix ,only downside would be goin in asda with a trolly an filling it with cheap veg oil an filling up in car park pmsl an i wouldnt declare it lolol

if people did do it thought I reckon it may make a difference, however there would have to be a lot of people do it and esso is usually the cheapest petty station around after the likes of ASDA and Tesco's etc.....

I reckon the English as so fucking used to being ripped off with tax we all just take it on the nose like dumb arse dicks.

Its pretty frustrating
