he just answered both these at the end, he did force jane on everyone, if your dad didn't pick jane he followed the instructions wrong. and ouija boards are pushed, you just don't know you're doing it.

good tv though

Great TV that shows the power of suggestion and the power that people have in believing superstitious crap.

i say dont feck with spirits

did a ouja bourd a few times when i was a bit younger ,if your directing the glass well the human mind has the ability to do some weird stuff.
why do i say thism
well back when i lived in a bedsit in a ymca lol we set a bourd up lit some candles an off we go .first thing said was" hello marie its your nanna" (a girl called marie or mad marie as we called her ,it was her bedsit) "steve is bad" her fella "unclean unclean" "birds die" then it just babbled nonsense till "boo" the lekky went.very freaky had a spliff an fecked off.on my way to my dig the girl a couple doors down had a budgie was crying it had just dropped off its pearch an was brown bread ,was gettin a bit spooked by now lolol
about 4 days later marie tell me her fella was cheating on her with this girl an had given ste crabs thus givving marie them ,..
very weird stuff another time nothing that was said was interesting apart from the nearby church striking 13 times at 1138pm after we had a walk an a smoke an saw a shaddy figure walking near the hedge a few of us saw this happen as the figure moved from hedge to a gap it dissapeared only to be seen again when in the shadow of the hedge brown pant time galore ..
only other time i was involved was on a training course in the lakes. the place where we were stopping was once miners cottages but there was a accident sometime in the 1800s to do with the mine( it was a open mine working) an had been empty up untill refurbished to take courses or hickers ect .1 night back from the pub an a few pple decided to do a ouja bourd i went into me bunkroom an saw a man in a brown suit but a bit scruffy, i said hi carried on walkin past thought hold on who is he looked back no one there. i goes back into the main room to hear screaming from the toilets. the same fella that i had seen walked up to the sink while a lad was havin a piss he looked at him just as he started to go see threw he ran screaming covered with piss back to the main room i hadnt said to any1 about it ya dont do ya. as he discribed him i said i just seen him before .that put a stop to that cos every1 was shittin bricks

OK, I knew right from the beginning that this whole thing was to prove the 'power of persuasion' the Derren Brown excels at.

Just one or two things that I'm unsure about.

1. Ouija board - They were moving it as he said but what about the rapid movement at the end? Why would they do that? Is it because he was saying that it'd get faster?

2. Moving objects - When the ball lifted up. Erm......What the f@ck!!

So, was this 'the spirits' or just trickery?

Good how he puts 'em in a trance or persuades them to do exactly as he says. Wonder if they were all hypnotised first? Didn't think you could get someone in a trance in a matter of seconds. I've seen it done and it took about 30 mins.

Still, good viewing from channel 4 once again!

Its similar to the whole telekenisis think......the power of belief is mighty tool......its just learning how to use it...i am big up on the power of your mind...as in the words of Al Koran....its can be a most wonderful thing if you know how to use it.........the subconsious mind can defeat any consious thought when you know when to listen....i am with Nathen though on the ouija board thing.....not to be triffled with.....i used to do readings with the tarot but decided to give them to my dust bin as things went weird........ooooooooooo....x

I was wondering this, when he had those peeps in the curtain thing. He sort of waved his hand @ them and their heads bowed down all trance-like. Thats gotta be fekkin impossible hasn't it?

Anyway it made great TV - I am kind of jumpy at stuff like that - I fekkin lept a mile when that cup (i think it was) shot of the table during the Seance.

Even after Darren Brown explained all reasoning behind it at the end - I was still furkin' a tad nervous - didn't sleep too well - lol . I must be soft.

I quite like Darren Brown - he is convincing. The Russian Roulette thingy he did was also compulsive viewing - would have been a whole lot better if he blew his brains out though, live on C4....... lol
