noel gallagher

just been d/l sum old oasis tunes from an mtv unplugged they did a few years back, and it got me thinkin bout when i was at college and started to learn the guitar, but left and never took it up again. Noel Gallagher was one of my idols at the time, i still think he's a proper top dood, majorly talented, quality guitarist and IMO a miles better singer than Liam. in fact the only bad thing i can say about him is that he supports city lol

i much prefer the early stuff from definately maybe and whats the story morning glory tho

anyone else like the "mad fer it" mancs??? and whats yer favourite song??

i'm bang into slide away, and cast no shadow at the moment, and i also like cloudburst, which was a b side to live forever! tune!!!

Agree 100% as I too watched the MTV unplugged session where Noel sang instead, and it was tons better! Liam is just a scally/prick who can't sing.

There was some talk of Noel and Chris Martin doing a project, dunno what folks would think of that, I like Martin/Coldplay and reckon musically they could compliment each other.

Never was a big Oasis fan, purely as I hated Liam with a passion, same goes for Shaun (prick) Ryder, how the fuck he's not dead I don't know.

Ryan Adams has covered Wonderwall recently, an accoustic version that is stunning, if your on soulseek, get hold of that, and see what you make of it.

Also there's Deadly Avengers remix of Travis' Writing To Reach You, which is instrumental and has the Cello from Oasis' Wonderwall in that, again a great piece of work.

Liked the first couple of albums, not enough to go and see them live or owt but I did buy them. This MTV unplugged thing, is that when Noel had to do the singing cause Liam couldn't be arsed? Favourite Gallagher number is the Talk Tonight thing he did with Paul Weller, quality. Favourite Oasis track is Morning Glory I reckon..

/edit - Just read that the MTV thing was Noel singing.

In Oasis land as we speak, the beauituful BURNAGE!!! Lived round this area (on and off) almost all my life, and funnily enough no-one ever used "mad for it" as part of their dialouge (unless they were taking the piss outta someone!)

Anyway, back to the point There old stuff was class, but I was pleasantly suprised with their newer stuff. Thought "little by little" was a great song
Mind you, it was one of Noels!!

Always though he was the better looking one too!!

yeah lol that was the same one. liam was sat up on the balcony of it.
i've seen em live about 4 or 5 times, sumwhere years ago before they were massive( cant remember where lol @earls court, @ trentham gardens, @ the MEN arena, @ wembley stadium too.
at the trentham gardens one it was the day after the morning glory album had come out, and the first song they played morning glory.. but liam couldnt remember the words,so they blasted out two instrumental verse's instead lol
it was the first time they ever played "round our way" in public too and loads of southerners were askin wot mingin meant lolololol
