When we first moved to Chorley nobody knew what a barmcake was. They called them teacakes , a teacake is one with feckin currents in it!!

i had that when i went to blackburn - it was a chip barm it was a chip teacake - wtf!!!!!

Either Brook Rd Chippy in Urmston or The Chef in Stretford get my vote although the wetherby whaler is up there too .. spent many a Friday lunch in there when i used to work in Wakey ..

cant decide out of chandos grove chippy near me or chu's chippy in swinetown where i went 4 my dinner when i was at school, both brilliant chippys in there own right, gotta be a chip barm n gravy (aka chip barm n bastard) from chu's and sweet n sour chicken from chandos(and the portions from chandos r huge)

Do they sell beans in your local chippy coz they didnt when i lived in Manchester

In Cumbria, our chippys flog Cumberland Sausage for £1 a piece and we have Patties (which are exactly the same as Scallops but with Sage and Onion between the two bits of tattie that make up the scallop)
