| 1992  luved up year my first dove dancing to let mi show you love  i loved everyone i was turning it louder and louder in colne burnley just so that i could hear it in the back yard where it was a red hot day but pissing with rain and thunder and lightning it was the bizz dont seem to have the same affect nowadays

| Lol - Erm, bringing it back to the topic in hand... I plumped for 1990. To hard to choose tho between 89, 91 and 92, all have special and different memories... Good shout tho Biskit & Nath re: '94+. Between then and '96 had me head firmly stuck in the clubs...  2004 is turning out to be a bit of a renaissance year tho, after tonight will have been out dancing (etc....  ) every Sat for the last three weeks. Went out Wednesday and am due to go out Thurs coming too.... . Totally unheard of for me for the last 8 years. I thought I was well and truely stuck in for the duration....Mart  |

| I'd say 91-93 in 90 someone @ school gave me tape from wear FM ( sunderland ) with all this bleep , poing , thump music. I'd always been into mad electronic music and psychdelic rock. This seemed the next best thing. Dipped my toe in the water with a shamen 12" , next thing you know tracks like mentasm, dominator, activ-8 and Close your eyes are the only things I listen to. went to bham uni ,joined the "dance music society" which held raves in the SU. Now had pirates broadcasting all the latest hardcore. 100% hooked. By late 92 early 93 rave had started to go dark and hard. Most of the places I went like Crunch in Bham moved effortlessly into handbag/piano house. I don't think there will ever be that excitement around dance again, it wasn't mainstream music at the time. If you were into it you were one of the "in crowd". It was your music depised by adults and your peers with their neds atomic dustbin / james / wonderstuff t-shirts. |
