Bastards sent me a nasty letter when i was a student demanding that I went out and bought a TV licence immediately and threatening legal action if I didn't. I didn't even have a telly !!! but the way they worded the letter it makes it look as if you're committing some terrible criminal offence

etc etc

So I figure if they dont know that I live there - feck em in the ear..... & if they come round my gaff theres a communal front door they have to get thru before they even get to my front door - so feck em in the other ear too lol !

Apparently not paying your TV licence is the major criminal activity that puts women in jail in this country........

So fella's, you continue stay out of it and let the missus take care of it j/k.

Have they changed the law yet about TV cards on your PC?, I heard once that a computer card cant be called a Television set, and therefore you dont pay licence fee.....may be wrong, but I remember sommet about PCs-TV's and licence fees....lol.

With those excellent flatscreen monitors you can get nowadays, why bother with a telly? lol. I wonder if it still counts if you output a cable from your graphics card/tv card to your telly? lol. The mind boggles.

I bet the buggers have clamped down on it nowadays in the smallprint.

Were bloody mugs in this country, we all just sit back and accept being fleeced for everything cos 'thats the way it is'. Im no different though, a single voice is lost, but when a nation says "no stuff your tv charges up your arse sideways" what can they do? Inprison us all? lol - errm dont answer that!

tis stupid! im gona miss out on a whole 2years of weekly tv, im off to a football college in preston for 5-days a week and you HAVE to have a tv licence if you want to bring your own tele! I was gona sneak one in me bag but i saw an advert the other day which said "If you dont have a TV license at college or university you could be fined for up to £1000!!!" So i fcuked that idea off straight away! Wot a tw*t eh!

Yup that's right even in student halls of residence each individual bedroom has to have its own TV licence! Pathetic really.. thats why I didn't bother taking one, but taking a rough guess at the number of students at the uni I went to I'd say they were making at least half a million a year just out of the people living on the campus!!!

yea its shite! tv licenses are about £110 aswell! u fork out all the money going and staying in halls of residence, then u find out u have to have a license!

why did students pat for them ?

I know when my mate was at uni he never paid of any of his mate either, but they were all scallies lol and i was just to think to get in :p

What pisses me off is how they altered the news time to 'stop interupting films' - yet both sides are at it! They just schedule the films later and the news still cuts half an hour off the fekking end!.


So does anyone know where things stand with TV cards and an optical link or sommet?
