In my house 26/7/08- Scubar

Hello,

Well arrived 10.30 and had a nice goldfish bowl upstairs listening to Adam ant

Didnt realise Moggy was on so early so missed the forst 15 mins He played a top set- and i was lucky to meet him later top guy!

Then it was Barry Jay- i have never heard him dj b4 and he was fantastic- a real mix of tunes i had either never heard b4 or not 4 a long time- very tight. Im guessing a lot of late 80s early 90s tuneage played

Then onto Woody who also rocked the house with another great set and finally miss say ( i missed the last 10 mins cos my taxi arrived)- great mixing and tuneage

Fantastic to see the following people- All top peeps- U31; butty; Jack G; Deano aka Elvis; Woody; Cano; TC; Say say; Nicccccccssssssssssss; pepe le pew and ur missis ;wit...wooooooo ; Then i have to say a massive thanks to Bod; Debs; bernie and u31 for the card and Shandy bass lol its too nice to drink it - what a great bunch of people.

I know i will have missed someone sorry ..

Thanks for a great birthday IMH- see you at the next one

All i can say, IT WAS ONE FOOKIN' TOP NIGHT!!!
only problem was the heat, an hour of dancin' then ya had to go outside to cool off, so the atmos upstairs was every bit as good as in the cellar!
Some great sets played, especially when Saysay upped the tempo and played some proper bangers!

Top Top Top Night

Even tho the place wasnt rammed the atmosphere was mint got the train from liverpool and was nice and early to hear all the sets played and got alot of good footage on the hazy cam ha ha.

Didnt think i was going then got a call from pepe le pew saying there was room for my fat bottom to stay at his. what a top guy and his loverly misssus the two are just superstars thanks for that loverly comfy bed and top chops in the morning aswell as the long awaited tour of the park and the bouncey castles and porta lou's plus the curry stuff ha ha mr jonathon ross hottest curry was funny stayed up till 5 then crashed thanks again you 2 are stars xxxx.

Met all the old faces from hazyday and a few newbies I have never met before all in a good mood and ready for a hot dance.

I was downing the vodkas but nothing seemed to touch the sides until loverly MISS SAY SAY got me a paintstripper of a drink and i was laughing NICE ONE BIG KISS MWAHHHH.

Cano was rocking some corker tunes and a few other breakbeats got alot of people dancing all the other djs that played were brilliant some tunes i aint herd in years and top mixing from them all...

Barry Jay played some classic piano and vocal house tunes that i must say were just top stuff and some of the best mixing ive herd never seen him before but would love to see play again same goes for moggy who threw some top vocals over hardcore uproar which just got everyone singing woody started with a belter. high society and kept it climbing with tune after tune from that point Till say say jumped on and just rocked the roof off with some PROPER BELTERS i aint herd played for ages whooooooooo whhhhhhhhhooo.

ALL IN ALL A TIP TOP NIGHT IF YOUR EVER IN MANCLAND CHECKIT OUT \0/

got the train the next day and OMG i got cooked no windows on the train and it was rammed i will be taking a bucket of ice next time and a big fan and 50 mr freezes lol.....

Had a really good night despite being ill most of the day i soon perked up after a few beers etc

Just got there in time to catch most of Neils set (bloody sat navs ) Wicked downtempo stuff that got our little crew boppin early on

Did spend a bit of time outside with the heat but got good wedges of everyones sets, spot on what I remember.

Barrie Jay playing Cap & Family went down a treat and Moggys Hardcore Uproar and acapella mix which Elvis mentioned was sweeet!! Also nice to hear him play Real Life, not heard that out in ages!!

Woody was top as per usual and Dangermou... er I mean Saysay banged out the end nicely even dropping a Messiah tune

Met some great people again. Nice to see Superdan/Elvis/Nics and Slaggymong.

Met Butty for first time, really nice down to earth guy Same goes for Jack G, had a good chinwag with him at the end, cool guy

Thanks to Cano for the vynil, will look after it mate and Woody for the brandy (Dont forget what were talkin about Woody)

Last but not least, the birthday boy Wayne and his missus!! Fookin top lad, havent met someone so excitable in a long time, it was infectious haha.
That dash from the taxi at the end will stick in my head for a long time wayne, quality

Bring on the next one

Disappointing turn out, super hot weather outside, furnace like venue. But none of that damped the party goers passion (once we all got going).

Maybe my passion was fuelled by jagermeister and pear cider. And maybe that's what I'll blame for making me hurdle the dj booth to give woody a peck for dropping D.O.P - Non Stop. Either that or I'll have to be having serious words with myself for making heemersexual advances on yet another dude

Good to see most of the usual crowd, even managed to get some names right this time . Got a portfolio of pics of Lottie and TC . Who made the little pics; Lottie?

Boss night, glad to hear you broke even, because it would be disgraceful to lose such a good friendly night, with a wide variety of tuneage.

Though I do admit to storming out with my fingers in my ears when cassanova and move any mountain came on (can't please all the people all of the time)

Elvis, I'm just gonna put a No.2 on gas mark 2

My apologies for missing my first IMH were made a couple of months ago, due to a long planned get-together in Leeds with friends.

Even so . . .. I am still gutted to have missed it and look forward to hearing the mixes as I know it was recorded.

I'm disappointed like many others that the turn out was a bit lower .. . Credit Crunch, Hot weather, Smoking ban. . . . who knows??

I will just say this .. . IT'S A GREAT NIGHT OUT IS IMH, ONLY MADE POSSIBLE BY THE EFFORTS OF A FEW SO THAT MANY CAN ENJOY. PLEASE SUPPORT IT!:

I will be at the next one unless I have a very good excuse indeed!

I agree with this completley the IMH nights are incredible. I went to BBDD 4 weeks prior which was rammed but i prefer IMH hands down because it is so friendly and the djs pull out top drawer sets for the faithfull crowd- if the night is upped you will see what we mean. Would be great to have a few more OSA heads there.

I could not leave my shandy bass behind i was distraught

Look forward to seeing you at the next one

Well said Mr Radish . I've been after coming to one of these do's for a while but it is hard work for a dad of 3 in his late thirties who is the only one that thinks it's still 1989 and he's 19!

Here's a resume of my day / night on Saturday...

Was at a 40th (pal of the missus) in town from 4pm so tried to stick to the shandies as long as poss. It was an outside do, the sun was out like never before this year, and everyone was on it like it had never been out before!

Knowing my missus is a lightweight at best of times and this was her (and my)first night out since our baby daughter was born 8 weeks ago , I managed to persuade my brother in law to come along as his wife (currently Cheggers) took mine home around midnight. So far so good and my plan was working a treat. Full steamboats ahead!

Disappointed by the number of peeps downstairs tbh, although you could probably double it by adding the number upstairs. Sought out Woody (hi mate, nice to meet ya!) who said that a number had already headed off. Also had a quick word with one or two others (Nics, Pepelepew, Elvis ) before my oppo started getting itchy feet and we snuk out (Soz ) and headed off to BBDD, another night I'd had on my wish list for a while.

All in all, I wouldn't be put off coming to another IMH by any means. Barrie Jay was still on when we were there and the tunes and atmos were grand... it just needs a few more paople sticking around and filling the floor (hypocrisy I know as I didn't last more than half an hour but I was getting my head pecked by my daft pal).

So, well done to all for putting the night on. Soz for not sticking around, but please keep the faith as this is the sort of night I would love to attend more regularly. Hope to be at the next do and I'll try and bring a few likeminded party peeps too.

All the best,

jcf

Had a good niight despite the lack of numbers! Makes no odds to me, its quality not quantity in my book The right peeps were there n thats the main thing

The weather was glorious although it did keep me outside for the bulk of the eves but it didnt stop me n mine from lapping up the atmosphere of the whole night
