I think its not that good, entry should go to the appeal and peeps shouldn't be lining their pockets from an event that is listed as a charity doo, you can just as easilly pop down to your local P.O and give £2 in there. I think its a bit minging profeteering from this.

Maximes aren't profiting from this at all. Wether it was a charity event or not, Maximes would be open on the 8th and it would be attended well. Consider it a good deed that they're even donating £2 from each admission to the appeal. They don't have to!

Nobody's forcing them to go to Maximes and donate. The fact is, that the clubbers that attend get a qaulity night out whilst also contributing to a much needed appeal. I sincerely doubt that holding a "charity" event is being used to attract people to the event for the means of profit. Like u said, people already know they can go to the post office to donate. It ain't like they have to go to maximes to do it.

on average maximes, attracts nearly 1000 people at its nights, 2 pound from each person = 2000 pounds, which is a hell of an amount for one organisation to contribute based on one nights collections. i think anyway

Exactly my point mate. Wether it was a charity doo or not, they'd still get a great attendance. And they don't have to give around £2'000 to charity do they? How the f@ck you can slate this lozzzie I do not know.

mmmmm ? well imo if something is listed / advertised / titled as a charity do / event then NO one should make money from it bar the said cause end of imo . . . . , ive been to loads of charitys do's / events in the past and none have had an entrance fee + donation , all i have been to have been no profit do's , were only the charity benifits

( dont get me wrong i aint slagging the fact what there doin cos im sure what will get donated will be a nice amount , goin from how many ppl do go maximes etc

cept a i see on the flyer it says "£2 donation asked for" so does this mean ppl have the choice weather they want to or not , and if they choose not to which many ppl would im guessin do they get turned away ?? i bet they dont . . . just a thought but surely avin £2 from every entrance fee paid in would have been better ) and would ensure a good final total donation fer the charity , and there fore makin it worthy to be titled a proper charity event / night

Ben, everyone going through the doors at zimes on that night will pay 2 pound i guarantee it. the blatant point you're missing is that they've not put on an extra night to support the tsunami, its a normal night for them and they've put on the flyers you will be asked for a 2 pound donation, and that 2 pound per person will go to the cause. what are they supposed to do, not pay the djs, bar or door staff and go thousands out their own pockets, as well as handing over nearly 2 grands worth of cash, that they didnt NEED to go to the bother of collecting. maximes will have NO benefit by promoting this night as a fund raising night, i mean, i go to maximes for the tunes they play not for how PC they are or how much of their hard earned cash they are willing to part with....

anyway, surely any money that goes to the appeal is beneficial, so whats the point in nit picking

also being a promoter i didnt think you were supposed to post you're views on other peoples nights

dont get me wrong fella , not tryin to cause a kick off or owt like as i always one fer doin what ya can fer charitys spec ones like for what this is for . . . just the way i read the flyer ppl ave the choice of weather theyy want to donate , not everyone will be bothered or care , when it comes to stuff like this ( spec the younger gen imo ) and am sure theres some that would given the chance keep the £2 fer themselfs instead of handing it over to someone else . . . as its another pint to arf of them . lol

anyway last thing i want is this thread to get into a big heated debate on how a proper charity event should be done / held . . lol as diff ppl ave diff veiws / belifs on this matter some stronger than others , im just one that believes if you hold a "charity event" it should ALL go to charity thats all . .

Well bollocks anyway, I just think it's not that bloody gr8 anyway, advertising it as a charity doo on a night when it's deffo not maximes most popular night, as an advertising ploy. Personally I'll be saving my money for a night like the one on the 20th where all the admission fee goes to charity and all the dj's are playing for free!!!!!!!!!

Tell me your having a laugh with these comments ..

Get your fucking facts straight before you start trying to put the world to rights please ...

For your information ...

It was only £2 to get in , therefore ALL the door money went to the appeal £1050.00.

ALL the staff and DJ's worked for FREE when they would have normally been paid .

There is also a CD of the night and ALL the profits from that will also go to the charity ..

A massive thanks to all those that turned up and donated their time and money to the cause , most of who you have just offended with your stupid uniformed comments.

If you have an ounce of decency, you will retract your comments and apologise !

LOL . . wooo not like you to post fella . . . whats up . .

first off if it was only £2 to get in????????? then i take it the flyer (above)must be mis printed then yeah . . ? cos it says if im not wrong 3 or 4 quid then + £2 donation asked for which to me says that you have the option of weather you wanna give the £2 . . . .

ppl see doin stuff for charity in diff ways , and some have diff views on to what and how money should be raised , everyone is entitled to there opion on such matters ,so why on earth should you have to get on your high horse and start demanding an apology etc etc . .really lol ???? i questioned the night for the same reasons , dont see ya askin moi for one , as me like her would rather donate my money to the cause by a night i know ive been part of and that every single penny raised went to the said charity and not that someone else was makin out of it as well . . . . . think youve made a fuss over nowt there RJ spec when both charity nights ave passed and both made money , so its all good in the end is it not . . as that was the whole point of them . . .

And the Free Entry With NYE ticket was also a mis print ??

It's just bollock that anyone should call into question in any way anyone who has done anything for any charity ??

The figures stack up at the end of the day end of story ..

And to set the record straight i wasn't targeting one individual it was the post in general .. I've edited the post as I agree it did look like I was having a go at one person which was not the intention ..
