tinkering little blighters I suppose you could say im an "admininstrator" for a PC at work which is used by around 20 people, now within these twenty peeps there are some who are visiting sites of ill repute which has lead to the system being "ragged" by some evil spyware and has hijacked internet explorer and removed all the dial up settings to the internet. I have tried and tried to get rid of it, but it still comes back (probably buried too deep into the registry etc). So im going to do a rebuild on it. A few questions : 1. As im aware XP Pro only alllows 7 password accounts to logon to, this is far too few for this PC. Is there a third party plug in that could allow me to create as many as I possibly want controlling what tasks each one is allowed to do? 2. Could anyone recommend a good invisible "key logger" that I could use to monitor PC activity? Seems extreme but im pig sick of having to lose my meal breaks deleting crap and xxx dial ups off the system Regards, Andy

you can create more than 7 if you dont use the user accounts bit in the control panel mate if you go to control panel/admin tools/computer management then the local users & groups you can add loads in there there some key loggers on here but you have to be careful cos unless its specified that usage of the pc and internet is monitored then your probs breaking privacy laws if u want to restrict access for certain users check out the security console by this fella - http://www.dougknox.com - well handy tool for locking down non networked machines or if you cant be arsed fucking about with group policy (if u get the crack off somewhere u can pick which user account to restrict) if you cant find the crack gimme a shout

Also remove any shortcuts to Internet Explorer & replace the browser with Mozilla Firefox as these spyware vulnerabilities/dialers etc tend to get installed through IE.
