THE BLUE ROOMS BECOMES "THE EMPTY ROOMS"

"After a series of insurance claims, glamorous Manchester venue The Blue Rooms has closed its doors just two months after its Saturday event Vision Classix was launched. Two young females from Manchester claim to have permanent leg and head injuries after a succession of incidents involving them falling down the stairs more than once. The club's owner has been forced to pay heavy health & safety fines by Manchester magistrates and compensation fines for the two females involved. The insurance company refused to pay the fines as they feel the incidents could have been prevented. The court has ruled that the owner who cannot be named for legal reasons, must pay the fines. This has led to the bankruptcy of the owner and closure of a much loved Manchester nightclub."
